[Showbiz] She's Really Hungry

An Youlin is really hungry. As an alien star system’s love-eating fantasy beast, she is very, very hungry every day on Earth. The talent scout clearly said she’d be loved once she debuted! Realizing she’d been duped, she raises her sights even higher: she has to become a superstar! “Pretty looks and passable singing and dancing aren’t enough to earn love. You also need outstanding expressiveness, a great variety-show presence, and buzzworthy topics. It’d be even better if you could write your own songs.” An Youlin can’t manage all that, so she decides to seek outside help. - An unfamiliar app suddenly appears on Kwon Ji-yong’s phone, its jellyfish icon boldly occupying one corner of the screen. When he gets a message on the first day, he doesn’t think much of it and casually uninstalls the app. The same message keeps appearing the next day, the day after that... and for a whole month. Every time he uninstalls it, the jellyfish creeps back onto his phone screen when he isn’t looking. “Hello, how can I get more people to love me? Please teach me!” What is this? A hacker breaking in? Kwon Ji-yong types his first reply. “If you’re going to ask me something like that, shouldn’t you at least try to butter me up politely first?” - An Youlin thinks her skillful attempts at “buttering him up” look childishly like playing house to Kwon Ji-yong. A new message arrives on his phone: [Oppa, can you help me pick out what to wear tomorrow?] He replies enthusiastically, then suddenly realizes something is off. Wait, how is this any different from dating? Theme: To earn love, you have to be your truest self!
