Teyvat, but with a Twisted Infinite-Loop Plot

Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma are complete; Sumeru is over halfway done. A secret-identity story, though the secret identities aren't very secret. What can you find in an infinite-flow story? All kinds of skills? Bizarre missions? The terrifying pressure of the Main God? Or... how about a heavily reimagined version of Genshin Impact? For example, watch the black-clad, red-haired merchant Diluc and a cavalry captain with no mount travel through a world of magic and fairies; The Lord of Geo from Liyue sits among the clouds, establishing contracts between worlds in the name of Heaven's Law; The Shogun, bereft of her companion sister, an onmyoji, silences every yokai beneath the thunder; Forbidden Knowledge? That's merely a projection left behind by an indescribable Outer God! As the bells ring through the foggy city, Fontaine's judge takes the stand alongside Chief Justice Furina. Yun Hanmian was unfortunately dragged into an infinite-flow space, then luckily signed a contract with the Genshin Impact System because she stepped through the door with her left foot first. Her response: Come one, come all! Give me more! And so, taskers suddenly discovered that the dungeons, once full of danger, seemed to have undergone some strange changes overnight: A young-looking bard is slumped beside a table in a bar, drunkenly mumbling to the bartender that he wants another drink. The strands of hair at his temples curl and sway with magic, though there's no breeze. Tasker: I'll buy you a drink, just tell me why your face looks exactly like the statue's! On an ancient battlefield strewn with abandoned graves, a girl with a bright plum blossom tucked by her temple skips between the worlds of yin and yang, humming an eerie song. She glances back with a smile, and suddenly ghosts are everywhere. Tasker: I mean, being dragged down to the underworld is more than enough once... A woman wearing a fox mask stands with effortless grace. Cherry blossoms drift down from nowhere, then scatter into smoke and vanish with the wind. Tasker: Hanasato, come back! *sobs* Meanwhile, Yun Hanmian, pulling the strings behind the secret identities, watches the observation values on her panel shoot up. Very pleased, she rests her chin in her hand and smiles softly. 「One or two more dungeons, and I'll have almost enough observation value saved up.」 「Host, I'll leave the rest to you. Please be careful of the Main God.」 She looks at the System, which fell asleep after leaving just a few short messages. Slowly, the lively expression on her face fades, and she gazes into the distance with a calm, empty look. You really do trust me, don't you? You claim to be a System, yet you dared to stake everything on me. she murmurs to herself. When I was writing this, I never expected the Main God's planned appearance to clash with the Ruler of Death. (awkward-laugh.jpg) Anyway, they're not the same thing, so please don't get the wrong idea. Even big red eyes can belong to good or bad people, QVQ. A few things to know before reading: * It's extremely out of character, and I won't be nitpicking the logic. The original story is heavily reimagined, with massive changes to the setting. It's very slow-paced, and there will be a lot, a whole lot, of original-character storylines involving the taskers. If that's not your thing, feel free to click away, qwq. * I left the game after Natlan was completed, and the story will go up to Fontaine. The outline was written in 2024, after finishing the Narzissenkreuz questline, and I started writing in January 2025, when Natlan had just launched. I won't be changing the overall framework, so there may be countless Teyvat details that are out of date, such as the theory that the Heavenly Principles and the Abyss are one and the same, or the assumption that Enjou is from Khaenri'ah, orz. The Five Sinners, the Four Shades, the Heavenly Principles, and Zibai are all assumed not to exist. * The heroine's worldview has shifted in some subtle ways. She's neither a saint nor someone who kills without hesitation. She's a marshmallow with a warm exterior and a cool heart~ (Though the protagonist won't be especially prominent.) * These are my takes on Western fantasy, immortal heroes, and similar genres. They're basically genre trappings, so they may not feel quite right, and the secret identities won't be a major focus. * This is a secret-identity story, and no one gets exposed. Nobody knows the truth except the System. * In my headcanon, Genshin Impact is a “niche” game. Otherwise everyone would already know about it, and that wouldn't be fun, QVQ. (There's more going on behind the scenes, hehe.) * This story covers a huge span of time and genres, and almost all the original characters have some pretty questionable personality traits. If you reach a point where you can't accept it, please know when to quit.
