[Byzantium] Has the Princess Been Crowned Empress Yet?

When Catherine II opened her eyes again, golden sunlight was spilling through the curtains of the Purple Chamber.

She had become Anna Komnene, the eldest princess of the Byzantine Empire who, after a failed coup in history, was imprisoned in a monastery by her younger brother.

Looking at this thousand-year-old empire, already teetering on the brink of collapse, she quietly told herself:

“Since Heaven has given me a second life, this time I want more than just to change my fate.

I want the crown of Byzantium on my own head.

I want to return to Jerusalem bearing the glory of God.

I want all of Europe prostrate at my feet.

I want an empire that will last forever.”

This story’s pairing: “Viper” (a Byzantine princess who seems pure but is secretly ruthless) x “Loyal Hound” (a Crusader leader who seems ruthless but is secretly pure).

The male lead is strong, but the female lead is stronger. However, the story won’t focus on romance so much as on how Anna makes Byzantium great again~

In a nutshell, the romance is about how to tame a wicked wolf into a loyal hound (not really).

P.S. The plot won’t follow the historical timeline exactly, so please treat it as an alternate-universe novel set against a Byzantine backdrop~

Also, Bohemond’s age has been adjusted to make him a better match for Anna.

Of course, his exact birth date isn’t firmly recorded in history, but he should still have been older than he is in this story.

I’ve narrowed the age gap between him and Anna a little for the sake of the pairing ^_^
