[Showbiz] A Has-Been Nobody, but Her Husband Is a Superstar

(Busy with real life, so updates are slower. At least 10,000 characters per week. Thanks for your support.)

A cheerful, bubbly, pabo rookie idol girl x a caring, fatherly, old-timer superstar who’s practically a living fossil in the industry

Explosive news! After several years away, Kwon Jiyong is making his comeback on a variety show, and the first one he’ll appear on is the reboot of We Got Married. His partner is some unknown, washed-up idol!

VIPs protested and called for a boycott, but it did no good. The show aired as planned, and on the first day of filming, his partner was late, leaving Kwon Jiyong waiting for ages.

Just as the VIPs were about to explode with anger and curse her out for throwing her weight around despite being a nobody, a round-faced schoolgirl came running over with her backpack, panting for breath.

“I’m sorry! My teacher kept me after class!”

VIPs: ...

Kwon Jiyong was at a loss about his high schooler wife, who was seventeen years younger than him. But the contract had already been signed, so he could only grit his teeth and go through with it. But getting close to her? Absolutely not. No way.

Other couples were all sweet and affectionate, kissing and cuddling. Kwon Jiyong, on the other hand, spent his time tutoring his wife, cooking for her and making sure she got proper nutrition as she prepared for the college entrance exam, and even going to school for parent-teacher meetings. He turned a dating show into a parent-child show.

As one of the rare female idols Kwon Jiyong’s fans found likable, Min Sangga gradually went from being disliked by VIPs to being accepted. But wait, weren’t they supposed to have a limited-time relationship? Why is there such a long after-sales service, hey!

In the fans’ eyes, Kwon Jiyong and Min Sangga were playful siblings, kindred spirits from different generations, friends who had met too late, equally matched stage partners, and close friends with complementary personalities...

“Who says men and women can’t have a purely platonic friendship!”

“This is the ultimate friendship between a male-female ship, no explanation needed.”

“Don’t use something as vulgar as romance to describe my ship.”

While the shippers waved the flag of friendship and sang its praises, the two people involved suddenly started strolling around hand in hand, shamelessly flaunting it.
