A Workaholic Idol, but a Free-Spirited Genius!

[Pre-Registration: [Fandom] My Archenemy Mistook Me for His Boyfriend] Arisu Kurimu is hailed as an all-around idol. Whether it's singing, dancing, studying, or sports, he's good at everything! Yet just before starting high school, he had an especially terrifying prophetic dream. In the dream, he got the chance to audition for a sensational TV series about volleyball. Who knew the audition would be broadcast nationwide and require them to play a match on the spot? Arisu Kurimu hadn't even figured out the rules of volleyball before he was unceremoniously carried off the court and eliminated. "So much for being an all-around idol, a genius prodigy, and unbelievably dedicated. Watching his perfect image crash and burn is so satisfying." Arisu Kurimu woke up with a start. After confirming the dream was real, he wasted no time joining his school's volleyball club. Unless he dies, his perfect image must never crumble! Volleyball? No big deal! He'll crush it with ease! - After the new students enrolled, Aoba Johsai's volleyball club welcomed an especially unusual libero. At first: Player A: "He's glowing!" Player B: "Every move he makes! His expression is perfect!" Player C: "Why does even his crying after a loss look like it has a beauty filter on it?!" After diving for a save, Arisu Kurimu sprang smoothly to his feet. Heh... Volleyball's a piece of cake- But when he turned around, he met the terrifying gaze of upperclassman Oikawa. The Great King: "Arisu, are you here to play volleyball or put on a stage performance?" Later- Arisu Kurimu: "For the sake of saving the ball! I'll even crawl through the gap under the coach's bench!" Player A: "???? Do you remember how you used to sparkle all the time?! Get out from under the chair, Arisu!" Arisu Kurimu: "Aaaaaah!" (sprinting like crazy to save the ball) Player B: "Arisu! Your expression's gone haywire! This is a live broadcast! Don't you care about your image?!" After a loss, Arisu Kurimu threw his head back and sobbed in despair. Player C: "Where's your expression control?! Where's the filter?!" He turned around, and the team captain's tracksuit jacket dropped over his head. - After Arisu Kurimu joined Aoba Johsai, every match he played became a celebration for his haters. At first: [The adorable little princess is back on the court! What amazing moves will he show us this time?] [He even has to put on an act during a match. I'm exhausted just watching him.] [Is his expression seriously frozen in place? You'd need ten years of practicing in front of a mirror to pull that off.] Gradually: [???? Where's that impeccable expression control you had?!] [Who even are you?! Which all-around libero is this, combining speed, sprinting, and hurdling on the court?!] Later: [The adorable princess is the best in the world! Don't cry! You're the strongest!] [Didn't you say you were haters?! Why are you fighting me for tickets?! Hand over my tickets to the national finals right now!] Reader's Note: My knowledge of volleyball doesn't come only from the anime. If you want to point out mistakes, please learn the rules first and make sure, rather than deciding I got something wrong based on half-understood information!!! This is my take on an idol! Bugs everywhere! P.S. Aoba Johsai will make it to nationals more than once, all the way to the championship. I'm not a fan of idols, and everything here comes from my imagination. I just want to write about a school idol! If that's not your thing, please steer clear! And please don't bring real life into this. I only write about fictional idols (.). I'll delete any mentions of real people. There are absolutely no real-life inspirations; I barely know any celebrities myself. Please don't mention other stories under my work, and don't mention me under other authors' works. I'll delete those comments if I see them! If you read pirated copies, don't come to my comments section to share your thoughts!!! [Check out my upcoming story: [Fandom] My Archenemy Mistook Me for His Boyfriend] [Third-person narration, a silly little story] Things are a little complicated. I, Kashiwagi Yukie, am an undercover agent from the Special Division for Unusual Powers, operating in Yokohama. When my cover was blown, the gravity manipulator who came alone to arrest me got caught up in a battle between ability users that started because of me. To save my own skin, I attacked him on the back of the head in the chaos. The good news was that I cracked his skull; the bad news was that he didn't pass out, and my unreliable ability activated at the worst possible moment- A false memory about me appeared out of nowhere in the gravity manipulator's mind. Amid a hail of bullets, he shielded me with a grave expression, then turned to say, "Don't be afraid. I'm here." The other ability users, who had come to kill me, stared in shock. "What's your relationship?!" "Are you blind?" the gravity manipulator snapped impatiently. "And you, you've got some nerve, daring to lay a hand on my lover." Me: "???" And just like that, I somehow ended up with a boyfriend who was an executive in the Mafia. - From that day on, my life changed completely. My work in the Port Mafia went unusually smoothly, so smoothly that my boss sent me to give a presentation to the Public Security undercover division. There, I ran into my former classmates from the police academy. Boss: "Tell us, what made you so outstanding?" Everyone else listened intently. Me: "First, you need to get an executive from an undercover organization to fall for you." Everyone: "???? Are you serious?!" Things got out of hand. I thought my ability would only last a short while, but three months went by- Why was I waking up in the gravity manipulator's apartment, in his bed?! - Finally, on a lovely afternoon, the gravity manipulator's scrambled memories returned. I thought he'd crush me into a meat patty with his gravity. He looked terrifying right then. When he pinned me down on the bed with his hand around my neck, I was sure I was done for. But instead, he asked in a menacing voice, "How many other people have you used your ability on?!" Me: "..." It seemed he'd misunderstood something. Damn it, but I genuinely don't know how anyone could secretly imagine themselves as my boyfriend! Theme: With enough effort, you can create miracles.
