A month after the school year begins, the Aoba Johsai volleyball club has already finished recruiting new members.

Tōru Oikawa takes two days off from club activities for magazine and radio interviews. When he steps back into the volleyball gym, he finds a new face on the team whom he doesn’t recognize.
