How to Play Volleyball the Conan Way

After accidentally blowing up the clubroom and getting expelled from Teitan High School, Izumi Akio decides to enroll at Nekoma High School on the advice of his childhood friends.

Afraid he might be rejected, he plans to get to know the people at Nekoma High School ahead of time.

Izumi Akio lies in front of Nekoma's entrance, hoping to fake an accident, but a pudding-loving kitty sees right through him and takes him inside.

Later, he manages to infiltrate the Nekoma High School volleyball club, and enrolls at Nekoma with a letter of recommendation from Coach Nekomata.

He'd planned to cause more trouble, but training leaves him completely worn out. With no choice but to give up on his plans, he behaves himself at his new school and earns fond, relieved looks from his childhood friends.

Everyone's reaction after learning Izumi Akio is behaving himself at his new school:

Shinichi (wiping away tears, relieved): Akio's finally grown up.

Ran (worried): I hope nobody's bullying Akio.

Sonoko (letting out a sigh of relief): Thank goodness. I don't have to clean up that guy's messes anymore.

So the Bomb Disposal Unit's twin stars, the queen of the legal world, the daughter of the Suzuki family, the kicking prodigy, the former famous actress, the world-renowned mystery novelist, the high school detective, the Meijin of Go... and even a phantom thief all watch volleyball matches!

Izumi Akio sees his childhood friend, who's now become an elementary schooler. "You can come if you want, but could you at least not bring a case with you?!"

Everyone sees Izumi Akio win a match, step off the court, then calmly inspect a corpse and solve the case with help from an elementary schooler.

The charm on her phone is a picture of a boy in a volleyball uniform holding a volleyball. Everyone wonders which volleyball player it is, but they've never seen him in any major volleyball league.

Until one day, a new employee asks her who the charm depicts.
