Did Itadori Get Dragged into the Volleyball Club Today?

"Have you heard of the Tiger of Nishinaka?" "That guy! They say he can casually throw a shot put thirty meters!" "Huh? Isn't the world record only 23.12 meters?" "He can run fifty meters in three seconds!" "Is he even human, or some kind of monster?!" A high school boy like that should have every sports club fighting to recruit him. But Itadori doesn't join any sports clubs. He only transfers to Nekoma because his family moves to Tokyo to get his grandfather treated. He doesn't have any particular goals. He just wants his grandfather to be healthy and live a peaceful life. Of course, if he hadn't met the captain of Nekoma High's volleyball club, he thinks his life would have been ordinary: go to school, get a job, get married, have kids, and live a simple, happy life. Until... "Yuji, come join our volleyball club." The other guy is only seventeen himself, but the way he reaches out to pull Yuji up looks exactly like he's luring him into some kind of pyramid scheme. It's hard to believe he's just the captain of the volleyball club, and only wants to invite Yuji to play volleyball. . "That's one of Tokyo's top three teams? They don't look like it!" "The middle blocker is a flirt, the outside hitter is an idiot, and the setter is a weakling. How do they look like a powerhouse?" Then a pink-haired boy hammers the ball into the other team's court. "..." Itadori Yuji smiles pleasantly. "Who's a flirt? Who's an idiot? Who's a weakling?" "..." . N years later, Itadori stands on the podium with the title of "Best Outside Hitter" in hand, answering a reporter's questions. "We hear you only started playing volleyball at fifteen. What inspired you to fall in love with the sport?" Itadori seems to remember that spring, during cherry blossom season. "My boyfriend said the volleyball club was the easiest club to join." Kuroo watches the person onstage with his arms crossed, grinning from ear to ear. "I wasn't wrong, was I? For you, it really was easy." Reader's Guide: 1. The blurb is provisional. Basically, Itadori gets lured into Nekoma's volleyball club. 2. The pairing is Kuroo. I'll decide later whether Kenma will be involved. Theme: The passion sparked by sports can last a lifetime.
