Blurb: After getting beaten down by life, Chu Huan decided to follow in his father's footsteps and return to his hometown to become a fortune-teller. Well... a half-trained fortune-teller, just like his family. Moving graves, calling back souls, checking feng shui: there was nothing wrong with that kind of life. The only odd thing was that the nameless idol his family had worshipped for who knew how long started undergoing strange changes after Chu Huan came home. The tall body, once covered in verdigris, suddenly developed patches of vivid red. Its roughly carved robes took on the texture of real fabric, and a veil seemed to cover its head, blurring its features. Chu Huan couldn't make sense of the changes. Then one day, he came home to find that the idol had moved from its pedestal to his bed. Nearly four meters tall, it made the wooden bed creak pitifully beneath its weight. Layers of bright red wedding robes and a finely tasseled veil hid “her” face completely. Only a pair of cool, pale hands rested demurely on her lap. The hands were just so big they looked like they could wrap around his waist with their fingers. Chu Huan suddenly understood. “Oh, so you're my wife.” My golden finger (×) My wife (√) Big-hearted, half-trained fortune-teller bottom × over-three-meter idol “ghost bride” top 1. His skills were lacking, but he made up for it with a silver tongue. He fooled people, ghosts, and gods alike, and was doing remarkably well for himself. Some people said, “He captures ghosts and summons gods. He looks like a deity come down to earth, slaying evil spirits with a single sword. Though the offerings he asks for are rather unusual...” Others said, “He finds dragon veins and auspicious burial sites, and helped me move my family grave. My career has been soaring ever since! Though his fees are a bit steep.” Still others said, “He can predict anything, and knows everything. I had nothing left to ask for, so I gave him all my money to ward off disaster and solve my problems. I just didn't expect him to actually take it all...” Whatever people said, Song Ling only smiled and handed a business card to every wealthy person he met. “People say your life and death are fated, and wealth is decreed by Heaven. But if you want to change your fate, I can help.” “As long as you pay me ^ ^” Then one day, he took on a huge job that nearly cost him his life. He tricked a formidable man into believing he was the man's destined wife. He pinned the man down and made a heartfelt confession. He lamented that they couldn't be together in this life, but looked forward to the next. With damp eyelashes and a pitiful expression, he leaned in to kiss the man's lips. After successfully spitting a mouthful of blood into the man's mouth, he passed out. Song Ling didn't wake up for three days. When he did, he learned some good news and some bad news. The good news: He'd been rescued and hadn't lost any limbs. The bad news: The man had believed him, and had introduced him to everyone he knew. Song Ling heard him say with grave formality, “Hello. This is my wife.” “Hello.” “This is my wife.” Song Ling: “?” Silver-tongued, devious fake Taoist priest bottom × taciturn, obedient, genuinely gifted top 1.
