Mr. Dazai Is Watching in Secret

[My new story next door, "Dazai the Cat Is Farming and Slacking Off," is now up. If you're interested, go check it out, angels =3=] Tsukimi Tsubaki had liked someone for a long time. She had hidden it so carefully, never letting a single hint slip to anyone, and yet she was still found out. By the very person she had a crush on. - Dazai realized that his colleague had been secretly in love with him for a while. She had actually hidden it very well. Most of their coworkers hadn't noticed her feelings for him at all. But he had. He noticed how thoughtfully she remembered his little habits, and how she secretly indulged his whims. In the past, Dazai had encountered plenty of people who pursued him, some of whom played hard to get just to see how he would react. But Tsukimi Tsubaki didn't seem to have any intention of confessing to him or pursuing him. For no particular reason, Dazai would occasionally find his gaze lingering on her, like a cat watching from the shadows, or perhaps... like he was sharing a secret with her, one that only the two of them knew. Hm? Maybe... - The great detective Ranpo had been holding it in for a long time. Why on earth were these two idiots, who were mutually in love, still not together?! He was about to burst! How could anyone start eating dog food when it was only a one-sided crush, and keep eating it all the way until both of them were in love?! Tomorrow, he was going to tell everyone! - The next day, Ranpo received two identical gift boxes of cheap snacks. To clarify, they were from two different people. Ranpo: ... Tips: 1. A one-sided crush becomes mutual. 2. This is my take on Armed Detective Agency Dazai, so any OOC is on me. 3. I'm a delicate little pigeon who only wants to hear people praise Dazai. I'll eat any comments that aren't nice to him, but Dazai praise is very welcome! 4. Weibo: @Douqi, Have You Written Properly Today? 5. Huge thanks to the wonderful artist who drew adorable Dazai kitty! @Chai Chai And another recommendation for my next upcoming story, featuring a boss cat! "Dazai the Cat Is Farming and Slacking Off," originally titled "Mr. Dazai Is Magnificently Slacking Off"↓↓ Good news: Jinmu has a cat, on the very first day she transmigrates into a farming game. Sure, it's soaking wet and was just fished out of the river, but the point is, she has a cat now. As for the dilapidated little cabin she starts with, and the System that can't answer a single question... No matter. With a cat around, nothing else is a problem. But... why didn't anyone tell her that this cat doesn't eat fish or cat food, and only hunts crabs and gnaws on poisonous mushrooms? - One day, while working to earn food for her cat, Jinmu fished a roll of bandages out of the river. When it spotted her, the roll of bandages, complete with sticklike limbs, shook off the water and asked her... "Lovely miss, could you take me home? I live in the general store in Ihatob Village." Only then did Jinmu realize there was a village near her farm. She suspiciously asked the System: Is there a village around here? The System was even more bewildered than she was: Huh? There's a village around here? After her usual exasperated exchange with the System, Jinmu gave a rare smile. But having NPCs and a village also meant... She could meet the "kind" person who had "kindly" taken her home, then made off with a bunch of her supplies, right? :D - Even with a village full of NPCs nearby, Jinmu's life still revolved around her farm, the mines, and her cat. Her black cat had a serious taste for vegetables, was always trying to splash around in the river to catch crabs, and would occasionally nibble on poisonous mushrooms. It was always getting into mischief, too. But Jinmu had to admit one thing. With this cat around, her life had become a lot more enjoyable. Until one day, her cat disappeared, replaced by a young man with hazel eyes and bandages wrapped all over him. After they stared at each other for several seconds... "Meow." Under Jinmu's confused gaze, the young man kept a stony expression and spoke with obvious reluctance. Premise: If you keep at it, you'll get results.
