A Merchant in Another World

When He Xunlan was twenty, he did something stupid while sea fishing and got dragged to the bottom of the ocean, hook and all, by a fish. He ended up in the body of a fool with the same name on the Wuding Continent. The fool may have been dim-witted, but his family was close-knit and fabulously wealthy, with a thriving maritime trade business. But that was all in the past. Now his family has just been confiscated, and the current emperor is hunting him down across thousands of miles. All he has left is a loyal, protective servant who stands just over five feet tall. The two of them put to sea in a battered little wooden boat. Looking out in every direction, all they can do is sigh, "The ocean is nothing but water." He Xunlan: ...If I jump into the water again, can I get back home? His five-foot-tall servant, blindly optimistic: Don't be afraid, young master! We worship the Sea Lord of the Four Seas. These waters are our home turf, and the Sea Lord will surely protect us! He Xunlan had thought it was just feudal superstition, until a black dragon that was thiiiiis huge burst out of the sea, transformed into a handsome man with black hair and golden eyes, and landed on his boat. The Sea Lord, in a foul temper: That damned emperor dares bully my believer? Come with me ashore. We'll storm the palace! He Xunlan's stomach: Grrrr... The Sea Lord tossed over a few fish with a sour expression. The Sea Lord: Full now? Come with me to kill him- He Xunlan: A couple more. We can sell them ashore and save up to bring my family back. The Sea Lord tossed half a boatload of fish aboard, still looking sour. The Sea Lord: Everyone's here. Come with me to kill him- He Xunlan: Hold on, there are too many people. We need a bigger boat. This shipping route has only just opened. Let me make a little more money first. Later on- The Sea Lord: Are we killing him? He Xunlan: He already wrote an apology and abdicated. Why kill him? The Sea Lord: Oh. Then can we kiss? He Xunlan: No. You went to pick a fight with that old yellow dragon again. The young emperor is about to flood my doorstep with tears, and don't think I don't know it! The Sea Lord swept away in a huff: If you won't kiss me, then forget it! As if I care! A moment later The Sea Lord: He doesn't dare cry anymore. Can we kiss now? A black dragon gong with fighting on the brain x an optimistic shou with money-making on the brain Reader's Guide: 1. There's not much political scheming. Most of the time, they're fishing, eating, making money from maritime trade, and looking for family. At heart, this is a maritime business adventure story. 2. He won't become emperor. The protagonist is used to living carefree, and wants to be a man who becomes the One Piece, or the Dragon Lord's man XD Theme: The spirit of adventure.
