Apocalyptic Game: Milk Tea Cart

On September 9, 2999, doomsday instance games descended upon Blue Star, forcibly drawing in random players. With a death rate of 98%, humanity's survival was nothing short of an interstellar miracle.

In the game's third year, humans were driven to evolve under immense pressure. Everyone gained special abilities, as if chosen by fate; the reborn were everywhere, and Systems were as common as dogs. Humanity was brimming with confidence that this time they would win. But who could have guessed the monsters on the other side would get cheats, too?

The level cap gets raised whenever it feels like it, instance monsters can take drugs, and a nearly dead boss can buff itself before mutating. What the hell? Is there any balance in this lousy game?!

Just as humanity despaired, convinced that this time they really were doomed, a gaming legend began to circulate: Just call a magical food-delivery number. If the monster you're facing is buggy enough, a righteous pink milk tea truck will come swooping down from the sky, its little lace-trimmed flags fluttering, and knock everything flying with a stylish skid.

Then you'll have to hand over everything you got from killing monsters to buy a cup of milk tea from the super-cool boss. Otherwise... Ahem, don't ask if the milk tea tastes good. It's the sweetness of surviving a disaster, the rich aroma of life continuing!

To keep humanity from claiming final victory, the game quietly sabotaged players' paths of evolution. The more powerful the individual, the more useless the ability they gained. For instance, the little madman He Wuning got a milk tea shop management System, while humanity's beacon of hope, Yi Luo, awakened the ultimate repairman ability.

He Wuning: You damn game, you think you can punish me? I'll punish your bosses! Anyone who breaks the balance has to die!

Yi Luo obediently raised his repair wrench.

Humanity's beacon of hope with that kind of attitude x Don't mess with the merciless Brother He

My wheels keep rolling forward. Even if I'm riding the most ridiculous unicycle cart, I'll run over the crowns of the gods behind the scenes and greet the light of final victory.

[Coming soon: Win Back Earth [Cards]. Blurb below:]

The end of the world came quietly, and in a single night, the entire Earth vanished without a trace.

When Yan Li woke up, still clutching a frying pan and a rice basin, he was pulled into the Tournament of Civilizations Across the Heavens. This was the gods' pastime. With enough strength, you could win anything here.

Ding-dong! Registration for Tournament No. 17 in the Beginner's Arena is now open. The winner will receive 1% of "Earth, a planet in the Milky Way's Solar System."

Onlookers whispered among themselves: Is Earth the civilization that went bankrupt in the recent liquidation? Its energy was nearly all used up by carbon-based life-forms. There can't be anything good left, right?

Many agreed: Exactly! What would anyone want with something like that? It's only good for wasteland farming experiments!

As everyone laughed, Yan Li clenched his fists. If you don't want it, then give it back to us!

The hot-blooded young man sat down on the ground and set up a street stall: Don't throw away your unwanted cards! Trade them for a stainless steel basin here!

A moment later, with a hand full of terrible cards, he went to register.

An emotionless mechanical voice sounded: Please fill in your registration details.

Evil God: That's so mean! But every move he makes is beyond my expectations. I think this will keep me entertained for a long time.
