When Pei Yang woke up one morning, he discovered he'd become the protagonist of an unbearably sweet gay romance novel. The protagonist shared his name and looked exactly like him. He was also married to a man he loved, just like Pei Yang. But unlike the protagonist, Pei Yang's own married life had grown more and more tedious. His husband was always busy with work and had grown increasingly cold toward him. They couldn't even sit down together for three meals a day. In the book, however, the husband was gentle and patient with the protagonist from beginning to end, just as he had been when they first met. He even took the protagonist with him to the office to handle work. He was clingy and jealous, and no matter how busy he was, he always joined the protagonist for breakfast and dinner. Not a single day went by without them eating together. Until the day Pei Yang's soul replaced the protagonist's, allowing him to enjoy a tenderness and love that were never meant for him. 2. After seven years of marriage, Fu Shuzhuo had both a loving relationship and a successful career. He was the sort of person everyone admired and envied. But in their seventh year of marriage, fate dealt him a cruel blow: his husband, Pei Yang, developed Alzheimer's disease. Given Pei Yang's age, it could also be called early-onset dementia. Fu Shuzhuo could only watch helplessly as Pei Yang became lost in his confused memories, gradually forgetting the present and even forgetting him. There was nothing he could do. They lived this way for over a year. Fu Shuzhuo was nearly used to his husband brushing his teeth four times a day, asking him for countless good-morning kisses, or sometimes looking at him with a puzzled expression, having forgotten all the wonderful things in their past... Then, the day after Fu Shuzhuo's birthday, Pei Yang woke with traces of their intimacy from the night before and asked him in a panic, "Who are you?" And not only that, Pei Yang mistook him for someone else's husband. (Alzheimer's disease, also known as senile dementia. In this story, the illness affects a younger adult. Symptoms and causes vary greatly from person to person and can take many forms. You can look it up online for more information. The story has a happy ending, but includes some fictionalized elements. In real life, the disease is generally incurable.) 1. A bittersweet story, not angsty, mostly sweet. Although the blurb sounds a little sad, the romance itself is not angsty. The sadness comes from the illness! The relationship is sweet and doting, and the story is heartwarming. 2. It's also about the married life of two reckless young men after more than ten years of passionate romance. 3. I also wrote this story in the hope of raising awareness about this disease in a relatively lighthearted way. In today's society, about one in every three or four elderly people develops dementia, and the disease is slowly spreading to younger age groups as well. It is a devastating illness with no cure. Perhaps not many people will read this story, but I still hope those who do will take the disease seriously and show more patience toward people around them who suffer from it. The happy ending in this story is a fictional ideal, but I hope that one day it will become possible in the real world too, and that the disease can be overcome and cured. A proper nemesis should stay right where he belongs: lying quietly in his grave. - Li Wei had a wicked nature, and You E was no better. Knowing Li Wei desperately needed his soothing touch, You E would keep his distance whenever Li Wei was in so much pain he could barely stand or was on the verge of losing control. He'd tease, "If you want something, come over here yourself and say, 'Please, I want it.'" He'd even deliberately leave Li Wei looking disheveled and undressed after taking advantage of him when he was out of his mind, just to see him get embarrassed and annoyed. "How was last night?" "Not bad." Li Wei gripped his chin and bestowed a lazy kiss on him as if granting a favor. "That's your reward." "...?" P.S. 1. Two powerful leads, focus on the bottom, with a slight ensemble cast. The characters are roughly a seemingly cold and composed bottom who's actually wicked by nature, and a seemingly wicked top who's even worse on the inside. Neither is remotely normal. They're both pretty unhinged. 2. The story blends cyberpunk with a wasteland setting and includes Lovecraftian elements. There are lots of original worldbuilding details. Theme: Care for the sick
