I Deceived the Entire World

[Update schedule changed. To get my sleep schedule back on track, updates will now come out every day at 6 p.m.] [My next book will be How Many Character Sheets Do You Have? The blurb is at the very bottom.] Blurb: In his previous life, illness plagued him. He struggled to survive until he was eighteen, when organ failure finally claimed his life. When Karasawa Ryu opened his eyes again, he found that he had transmigrated to a parallel Japan and received a beta-version System. The problem was that he still had a terminal illness and not much time left. He could only complete the System's deception missions: for every hundred people he tricked, he would earn deception points that extended his life by one day. He would also gain the ability to make his lies come true. To stay alive and find his way home, Karasawa Ryu kept spinning one outrageous lie after another “Do you believe that Books, the dead coming back to life, Hell, Takamagahara, and the Holy Grail War exist?” “Don't believe me? Then you'd better start believing.” “Because from this moment on, they'll become reality.” [Secret Identity 1]: A prickly, troublemaking fortune-teller, the first to reform the jujutsu world [Secret Identity 2]: An information broker who wants to see the world burn, invited into the Decay of Angels after personally orchestrating the resurrection of the dead [Secret Identity 3]: A mysterious fox who has survived for a thousand years, the mastermind behind the destruction of Shinto and the chaos that engulfed Heian-kyo, the oldest and most wicked schemer [Secret Identity 4]: A shut-in black wizard, wielding the art of resurrecting the dead in one hand and the demon-summoning brush of Hell in the other, the “Father” of the calamity gods Reader's Guide: 1. The protagonist has secret identities, but this isn't a story solely about them. The identities serve his lies, and the entire story revolves around schemes built on deception. 2. The protagonist's secret identities are never exposed. He's the mastermind behind the scenes. 3. There are schemes and battles of wits, but the author's intelligence is limited, so there may be plot holes. Please go easy on me. How Many Character Sheets Do You Have? While receiving treatment at a psychiatric hospital, Tang Long happened to discover tabletop role-playing games. After a failed game, he was unexpectedly approached by a System and given a ridiculous mission: act out a world based on cosmic horror. System: You can think of this as a practical training exercise before the evil gods invade. You'll become a guide for rookie investigators. Our goal is to train more skilled investigators for that world. In return, whenever you drive someone insane, the sanity points will be transferred to you. With a high sanity score, you'll become a normal person. Tang Long: Awesome! And so the hilarious adventures of a mental patient began. In a world without cosmic horror, he is both an investigator who has saved the world countless times and a lunatic believer with a sanity score of zero. He is a mighty race that descends from on high like a deus ex machina, and an ancient terror beyond the comprehension or description of all living things. [The detective agency takes on a strange case: bizarre rituals, monsters writhing beneath Yokohama, and an indescribable terror. The truth of the world gradually unfolds before them...] [Boss Mori accidentally discovers that one of his subordinates has been replaced by someone else. But after witnessing the subordinate's astonishing technological skills, he silently abandons the idea of sending him to the lab for dissection.] [A high school detective is attacked by monsters aboard a ship. Humanity sheds its skin and offers sacrifices to its lord.] [The Heavenly Restriction Tyrant gives up on respecting himself and others, only to learn of the gods from a monster. “As long as she can be brought back to life, you can have my faith and my life.”] System: Wait! I only asked you to be a beginner's guide. I didn't ask you to become a cosmic-horror boss! Tang Long: It's fine. I'm both~ Theme: Keep fighting to live, and there will always be hope.
