The One-Sided Crush Hypothesis [Western Crossover]

To prove she really wasn’t still trapped in the so-called “pathetic lingering shadow of a youthful crush,” Kesha decided to kiss the next man who stepped out of the elevator, right in front of everyone. The elevator doors opened, and Damian and Duke stepped out side by side. ...Had she mentioned that Damian was the one she had a crush on? In this universe, Damian is an adult and the eldest, overwhelmed by everything that comes with the Wayne family, including the company’s stock price, his dad’s indifference to work, Gotham’s villains, his four younger brothers and three younger sisters who never listen, and the child from another family who came as a bonus when they acquired the third-youngest: Kesha. #Adult male lead Damian, Robins in reverse order. The other four boys are all yours, I’ll take the OOC. The alternate-universe setup draws heavily on typical popular Western fanfic tropes. #Bat family, fluff, one-sided love for now, romantic tension, idiots in love, enemies to friends to lovers. Talia is a good mother, Bruce is a good father, and Slade is a good guardian. #There will be a plot twist in the middle to later part of the story. #Jason is not dead! This is important! #DC + Batman + Spider-Man + Inception Upcoming and ongoing recommendations: ■Gotham’s Best Fake Ex of the Year■ [Upcoming] If people rated fake exes, Letty would give hers full marks. Dick is Gotham’s Best Fake Ex of the Year, a title she awarded him, and he’s held onto the crown for years. Nothing pays better than pretending to be a rich man’s fake girlfriend. Just look at her savings and penthouse apartment, not to mention Dick’s kind, considerate, handsome, strong, funny, clever, fit, and impressively energetic. Everything was perfect until she got a phone call. “So you’re saying you can’t inherit the family fortune, and your accounts are frozen unless you get married?” “Yes, yes, that’s exactly it. Do you understand how serious this is?” “Dickie, baby, go find someone else. There must be thousands of people out there willing to play along and be your not-fake wife.” “But you’re my Best Fake Ex of the Year.” Dick begged her, practically in tears. “No, no, you’re even Gotham’s Best Fake Ex of the Year. I’ll agree to one condition, no, ten! I’ll buy you a diamond necklace, I’ll... give you half the estate!” - The plan was going smoothly, but something strange was happening. She had been getting pestered by Robins, plural. One question: Is Bruce really dead? . . ■Proposal on the Same Day■ [Ongoing] Randy had been stuck on the same day for quite a while. Was Gotham, since the birth of the universe, the perfect place for a Sisyphean task? Maybe not. But since the day reset every time, why not propose to Bruce, the trust-fund darling and finance professional who was six-foot-two with blue eyes? It wasn’t as if things could get any worse. Spoiler alert: They got married. The day didn’t reset. - ◆Praise from Gotham’s Finest◆ ˙Baby, Love Me One More Time: "I Am the Night, I Am Vengeance" ˙Time travel, dimensional crossings... and you have the nerve to call me Flashpoint: "Central City Superhero News" ˙Enjoy the romance of falling in love with a Bruce who may be the most reasonable one ever, and discover how thrilling it is to have a family that loves you (it’s the Batfamily, what were you expecting?): "The Girls" ˙Through a string of questionable decisions, somehow becoming a Batmom, befriending his ex, and earning a place in the family equal to Alfred’s: "Coffee Lovers" - ★A few clarifications: 1. The blurb and the earlier chapters already make it clear that Tim is the ex. I also explain his motivations in a dedicated chapter, including how they stem from his family of origin. Dark Tim is even a popular trope, and this Tim is twisted, but not quite dark. 2. Jason is more inclined to be family and friends with Kesha than to be her lover. He’s even had several girlfriends. Kesha used to have a crush on him, so I’d say they’re even. In canon, after Jason comes back to life, he tends to push away people he likes because he thinks it’s better for them. Denying his feelings and keeping people at a distance is one of his classic moves. It’s definitely one of his biggest selling points in fanworks. 3. The translationese isn’t because I don’t want to fix it. If I could, I would have already. I tried hard and failed spectacularly. I want to lie flat. Theme: Those who create opportunities are brave; those who wait for them are fools.
