Support Is King [Full-Dive]

Five years ago, Genesis was released. The first season was a golden age in every sense of the word. Countless legends made their names in a single battle, while the gods of the game fought for supremacy on the leaderboards. Gaming officially entered the era of full-dive virtual reality. Five years later, keyboard esports had fallen into decline, replaced by full-dive esports. An ID that had been dormant for years reappeared at the bottom of a leaderboard packed with experts. Along with this toxic support, players were also introduced to the legendary figures who had struck fear into everyone's hearts during the first season. The infamous scavenger; the top-tier assassin who had never once failed a job on the black market; the battle-crazed lunatic who could take on an entire team single-handedly; the eccentric master whose creations sold for astronomical prices at auction... These people came together, joined a retirement guild for casual players, and signed up for the full-dive league. Bystanders who had no idea what was going on: First-season legends? What era are we in now? They're more like a senior sightseeing group. Veteran players still traumatized by them: Young people, you have no idea how terrifying it was to be ruled by these old monsters~ QAQ The managers of the top guilds were beside themselves: What the hell? Weren't all these demons retired from the game? Why are they back?!! When Jiang Shi returned to the game, he immediately spotted the ID that still dominated the top of the leaderboard: Yu Weize. A player filled him in on the gossip: Legend has it that God Yu had a first love he could never have. Five years ago, he prepared an elaborate confession on Santing Slope, but after waiting seven whole days and nights, the other person never showed up. Jiang Shi: ...That's not true. Don't ask how he knows. He's the “heartless jerk” who stood him up on the day of their duel and quit the game. Han Yuze: Heh. Are you sure it was a duel they agreed to back then? Jiang Shi: ? ◆ A dogged, shameless gong x a pleasure-seeking shou. The shou is a toxic support who can heal or deal damage. Both are strong; if they really had to fight, the gong would probably be worn down to death by the shou. ◆ This is my take on full-dive VR. The setting is entirely my own, and I can't guarantee there are no bugs. You should be able to follow along even if you don't play games. ◆ The print edition from Lushang Publishing is now available.
