The System Won't Let Me Retire

On the day Lin Du, known as the best player in Huaguo, announced his retirement, countless fans cried themselves hoarse. Just as he accepted that his injuries were too severe and that he would be fading out of esports for good, a System suddenly chimed in his mind. System: [The more underappreciated esports players you help, the sooner your body will return to perfect condition.] Lin Du: "Oh, wow! What a deal!" Less than a week after retiring, Lin Du announced his return as coach of the national team. An old-school jungler who had been vilified by thousands after a mistake in a match once again dominated the jungle. A veteran on the verge of retirement decided to make one last push before leaving the stage. A top streamer who had never managed to sign with a team finally stepped out of obscurity. And a solo queue king who had dominated the rankings but was too unique for anyone to handle finally took to the pro stage. Cheng Jingshen, the only top player in the country on a par with Lin Du, shouldered the responsibility of captaining the Huaguo team despite doubts about his declining form. On the Nth day of national team training, reporters showed up unannounced at the base. "How do you all feel about joining the national team?" The esports players, eyes brimming with tears: "We just want to thank God Lin for whipping us into shape. His beatdowns made us work harder and improve!" What no one knew was that after a day of stomping noobs, Lin Du would return to his dorm and happily tally up his gains. Daily Tasks: [Kill the mid laner 10 times, Recovery +1] [Make sure the ADC nearly dies 5 times, Recovery +1] [Make the team feel the coach's 'care,' Recovery +10] Watching his long-standing injuries gradually heal, the retired veteran finally couldn't resist. Lin Du: "I just want to play one match, for old times' sake. Just one~" * If Lin's retirement was a source of regret for his fans, then the fact that the two gods of the Huaguo region never got to play together left everyone lamenting. Then, at that year's World Championship, the whole world finally saw those two IDs appear on the Huaguo national team. Together, they claimed the priceless championship trophy! Post-match interview. Reporter: "What do you have to say about winning the championship?" Lin Du: "It feels great to have someone chasing me around to feed me." Cheng Jingshen: "It feels great to cuddle up to God Lin." Reporter: "???" Fans in the livestream: "???" Were they supposed to hear that?! ※ This is a nontraditional esports novel. There is a System, but its golden finger only restores injuries. ※ The blurb has been revised. The game is confirmed to use a 5v5 League of Legends format, though the game itself will most likely be original. ※ The protagonist retires from the start and is a coach early on. Later, after his injuries heal, he returns to the stage. ※ Peak-ranked King, strongest support, top x retired esports god and tactical mastermind, bottom. ※ Both are strong! One is a top laner and the other a support, and they each have their own roles, so there's no question of who's stronger! Weibo: @Qingmeijiangjiangjiangya Theme: Helping others is a virtue.
