1. My take on ABO, with lots of personal and secondary worldbuilding. Traits are determined at birth, with no secondary differentiation and no second sexual organs.

2. Alpha x alpha romance. Alphas have glands too, and being bitten on the gland doesn't only hurt.

3. Rivals-to-lovers. Both of them liked omegas earlier in the story.

The Gu and Jiang family patriarchs once shared a bond forged through life and death. Jiang Zhi gradually fell in love with Gu Ningxi, but Gu Ningxi didn't love her. She only looked after Jiang Zhi as if she were a child from the neighboring family, without the slightest hint of romance.

Jiang Zhi thought her unrequited love would last until Gu Ningxi couldn't take it anymore, or met someone she truly loved and chose to end their engagement.

Later, Jiang Zhi mistakenly thought Gu Ningxi had really fallen for someone else. She rushed to a bar without thinking, trying to drink her sorrows away and even planning to let herself go for once.

But before the tipsy Jiang Zhi could make a move, Gu Ningxi grabbed her wrist and led her into the corridor.

Under the dim lights, Gu Ningxi kept her feelings in check and asked in a low voice, "What are you planning to do? Are you ready to play the field too, little one?"

Influenced by the alcohol, Jiang Zhi burst into tears. Between sobs, she complained, "Y-you don't even like me, so why do you care what I do?"

Gu Ningxi sighed and kissed her. "How could I not like you?"

Perhaps she'd fallen for Jiang Zhi from the very beginning. Otherwise, why would she have agreed to the marriage and cared for her so much, until she gave her her whole heart?

Theme: Sometimes the things we stubbornly cling to aren't necessarily right. After staying on one path for a long time, it may be better to learn to turn back. Perhaps new success and gifts are just around the corner. Learn to let go, turn back, and adapt.
