After witnessing a car accident, Li Nian opens her eyes again to find that the world has been turned upside down.

On top of the head of the ferocious driver, gripping the steering wheel and ramming people in a frenzy, there is another hideous, evil specter. It clings to a human being, controlling their body and driving them to commit crimes. This is a Grudge.

Grudges are born from people, attach themselves to humans, and control them into doing one bizarre thing after another. Afterwards, the people either face justice or are driven by the Grudge to kill themselves, while the Grudge searches for its next Host.

The crimes committed by humans can be judged by the law, but what about Grudges, which ordinary people cannot see or touch?

Just as Li Nian is about to be attacked by a Grudge, a breeze sweeps past. Someone beside her pulls her close and wraps her in their arms. One hand rests at her waist, while the other reaches forward, palm facing outward. An unknown power bursts from her palm.

"Get lost!"

As a gale and a thunderous crash erupt, Li Nian looks up and finally sees the person.

The bright, bold woman lowers her hand and smooths her windblown curls. Noticing Li Nian's gaze, she looks down and smiles. "Welcome to the world of Wishes and Grudges~"

A few months after Li Nian is brought to the Wishpower Association, the president stops her and says she wants to introduce her to someone for a blind date.

Li Nian: ?

The president: "It's hard to find a partner in our line of work, after all. Most people end up dating within the association. I don't think you know many of the others, so why don't I introduce you to someone?"

Li Nian: Has the president changed careers and become a matchmaker?

The president: "The person I'm introducing is beautiful, the strongest in the association, and incredibly wealthy. Her personality isn't great, but there's no question about her abilities. And, by the way, her wishpower reflects all attacks."

Li Nian glances at someone sneaking around by the door, trying to eavesdrop. After a moment of silence, she says, "President, why not just give me Jiang Shiyi's ID number?"

I want to try writing a plot-driven story again TAT. If nothing unexpected happens, it'll still be half and half this time. Some of the settings are inspired by battle manga, while some are made up (crossed out). Anyway, it's entirely fictional, set in a parallel version of reality. Totally fictional, totally fictional, totally fictional!

Theme: Start a new story
