[1] Hinata Arc

As a gloomy, socially anxious introvert, Yuina is most afraid of Hinata, her classmate. Not only is he a cheerful, sociable extrovert, he also loves coming over to greet her.

"Yuina! Good morning!"

"Yuina, we're on cleaning duty together today!"

"Yuina, what a coincidence! Are you out for a run too?"

"Yuina, let me help!"

Yuina: (eyes shaking) (body frozen) (tries to get through it and run away) (gets blocked and dragged back)

Yuina: ...Such blinding sunshine... (soul leaves body)

Hinata really is just like his name. Yuina feels like she can't handle him much longer.

"Why do you keep coming to talk to me, Hinata? I can't give you much of a response, and I'm not very interesting..."

His orange hair bobbed as Hinata leaned toward her again. Her reflection showed in his amber eyes, tinged with orange, his gaze intent.

"Huh...? Maybe because I like you, Yuina?"

He gave her a radiant smile.

Yuina: !!!

[2] Kenma Arc

After her family went bankrupt and her father ran off, Chirusuka became homeless overnight. She was on the streets, penniless and deeply in debt, and nearly starved to death.

She crouched in a supermarket, wondering whether robbing the place would be faster or whether she should just steal some bread and run.

As she chewed on her finger to distract herself from the hunger brought on by indecision, Chirusuka unexpectedly spotted someone she knew: Kozume, her former classmate.

He hadn't changed much, except that his hair had grown long and he had tied it back. He still had pudding-colored hair, but he looked like he had a lot of money.

After all, he'd already put a whole bunch of snacks in his shopping cart.

The devil makes people act on impulse.

Chirusuka ran up to Kozume.

"Hey, Kenma, long time no see. So, um, want to date me?"

She remembered he'd liked her before, but she'd turned him down.

That didn't matter. What mattered was that if they were dating, he could probably buy her meals every day, right?

Kozume raised his catlike eyes and looked at her, his expression unreadable.

"...It's Kenma, Chirusuka." He looked at her and slowly smiled.

[3] Kageyama Arc

My boyfriend, Kageyama, is so cute, and I love him so much!

He may have a cool, aloof, handsome face, but he is unbelievably well-behaved and adorable.

Whether he's so torn between milk and yogurt that he presses both buttons at once, or looks like he must be good at studying but actually can't study at all, or goes to Aoba Johsai to spy on the enemy with a stiff, apprehensive face, pretending to be calm while giving himself away completely, or doesn't know how to comfort me because he's bad with words, so he just anxiously circles around me and lets me tease him however I want...

It's all so, so cute!

Kageyama: "Hey... could you stop using that word to describe me?"

My cute Kageyama gives me an uneasy look with that cocky, cool face of his. He tries to act serious, but his lips are pouting ever so slightly.

I smile and poke his lips. "Then what word would you like?"

His eyes wander, and the tips of his ears, hidden beneath his black hair, turn red. "At the very least, you should use words like 'handsome' to describe your boyfriend."

"But Tobio-chan is so cute~"
