Gojo's Little Brother at Nekoma

Blurb:

Born into one of the Three Great Families, Gojo Hoshi was supposed to become a jujutsu sorcerer and follow the path laid out for him. But he had no interest in exorcising curses. He wanted to play volleyball instead.

His older brother, Satoru, supported him and fought off all opposition so Hoshi could enroll at Nekoma High School in Tokyo.

On the very first day he submitted his application to join the volleyball club, Hoshi was utterly captivated by the voice of a senpai with a spiky rooster hairstyle.

Unable to help himself, Hoshi crept up to him like a sneaky little cat.

Kuroo noticed his movements. "Hmm? Oh my, what does this adorable underclassman want?"

Hoshi, eyes full of anticipation: "Could you say, 'Throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the honored one. I'm the strongest'?"

Kuroo: "...I don't really get what that means, but it sounds pretty arrogant."

Still, he agreed.

That night, Hoshi sent the recording to his older brother, Satoru.

Satoru: "!! Damn it! Hoshi-chan, where did you find a substitute for me? You even sound exactly alike! ...Damn, it feels like someone stole my line before I could say it."

Then, suddenly alarmed: "Hoshi-chan, don't go looking for substitutes outside! Your big brother is in Tokyo too!"

At training camp, he met a senpai who looked like an owl.

Bokuto: "Listen up, Hoshi. To be the ace of the team, you've gotta have presence! An unstoppable presence! Repeat after me: HEY! HEY! HEY!"

Hoshi, impressed though he didn't know why, his eyes sparkling: "HEY! HEY! HEY!"

Kuroo: "Could that owl over there please stop teaching our Nekoma underclassman bad habits?!"

That night, on a call with his older brother, Satoru...

Hoshi: "HEY! HEY! HEY!"

Satoru fell silent for two seconds.

"Suguru! This is bad! A curse that can control people by possessing them has appeared... Hoshi's been possessed!!"

"..."

All the Nekoma senpai and underclassmen were wonderful. Not only did the school have a cat-like name, but his volleyball teammates were like cats too. Hoshi absolutely loved it here.

But the one he liked and was most interested in... was, of course, the team's brains, Nekoma's strategist.

Like his older brother Satoru, Hoshi had never managed to unlock his tactical skills. He said to Kenma, "I have the ideal body for playing volleyball, and I'll work hard to learn the techniques, but I don't like fighting at the net, and I'm not good at it. So... please use me, the 'brain,' as fully and ruthlessly as you like. As the setter, carve out a path for me."

Kenma lifted his golden, catlike eyes and studied Hoshi like prey.

Then he slowly curved his lips into a smile. "Sure."
