I've grown strong enough to protect you.” [By the way, are you just ignoring the deadly weapon in my hand?] And so on. Takigawa Yuichi is left stunned, and even discovers that the police academy friend he ditched has cast him as a long-suffering double agent. “I'm sorry. Even if this is a mission, I can't let you bear everything alone.” “Because we're comrades, we want to reach out and save you.” His old friends look at him with complicated expressions, their hands tightening slowly on his shoulders. Hehe. - Coming Soon: I Was a Mafia Executive, but Became the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Commissioner Everyone knows that Kanoe Akechikawa is an executive in the Port Mafia. But one day, after being sent to Tokyo on a business trip, Kanoe Akechikawa finds himself getting mixed up in cases with alarming frequency. The classic three-way choice: every case comes with a victim, a hat-wearing police officer, and a detective in a blue uniform. Kanoe: You might not believe this, but that old man accused me of being a suspect again last time. Osamu Dazai: Really? What did he accuse you of? Kanoe: He asked where I was when the crime happened. I told him I was in the middle of a gang fight. Chuuya Nakahara: ...And then? Kanoe: Then? Then the forged ID from my last mission fell out of my pocket. That's when I realized Mr. Hirotsu had made me a fake identity as a police officer. Osamu Dazai: I bet you had no idea you even had a fake identity. Kanoe: Well, that's true. I told him that if I were the killer, I'd slash the victim's face and cut off their hands so no one could identify them. That's why that mission took me six months to finish. Chuuya Nakahara: Get a grip. Those two things have nothing to do with each other. Kanoe: They do. They all agreed I was a dangerous criminal, so they decided to send me back to that police academy to rehabilitate me. “So now I'm a real police officer.” “Don't worry, Mr. Mori! Once I infiltrate the enemy and uncover their secrets, we can use them as leverage! We can handle anything, from ability business permits to the entire Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department!” N years later. Kanoe Akechikawa sits in his office, staring pensively at his new business card.
