After Returning Home and Becoming the Chief

[Complete. Check out my upcoming novel, This Life Isn't Worth Living Anymore.] Igarashi Rin is an ordinary student at Jujutsu High. One day, a ruthless doctor from Yokohama shows up and tells him that he is the heir to the Port Mafia. Igarashi Rin: "You pulled me out of line for a limited-edition game just to tell me that? There's no way I'm becoming some boss!" A day later, faced with the persistent advances of his white-haired jujutsu teacher and a man in a monk's robe with his hair in a bun, and even a self-proclaimed Heavenly Restriction tyrant offering to be kept by him, Igarashi Rin decisively drops out and calls the ruthless doctor. "Is it too late for me to come back and inherit the family business?" The doctor, who thought his position as boss was rock solid: "..." One year later. With a bandage-wrapped man on his left and a hat-wearing guy on his right, Igarashi Rin has the ruthless doctor from back then standing behind him as his secretary, and even has a little girl thrown in as a bonus. The secretary reports with utmost seriousness: "BOSS, the Port Mafia's influence now covers all of the Kanto region and is expanding into Kansai. Executive Ozaki has just finished establishing our branch in Italy..." Igarashi Rin lets out a long sigh and hands the papers back to his secretary. "How did we grow so fast?" And for some reason, ever since he became boss, more and more people have been popping up to say they like him. Even his closest associates have recently started making their intentions clear, openly and otherwise... Igarashi Rin: "Honestly, I never wanted to be the boss in the first place." The secretary, who still hasn't managed to take his place: "..." The balding, four-year corporate-slave boss from next door, Boss Dazai: "Speak human." Reader advisory: 1. A sudden brainwave turned into a bit of fooling around. The cover features the protagonist. 2. I'm testing how ridiculous I can make this. If it makes you uncomfortable, please stop reading. There are no couples in the main story, and there may not be any in the extras either. 3. There will definitely be out-of-character moments. The glory belongs to the original works. 4. Enjoy reading! Her talent is unmatched by anyone in the sect's ten thousand years of history. Unexpectedly, one day, something goes wrong as she breaks through the void, and she falls into a cultivation novel, becoming a junior sister with no presence whatsoever, seemingly included just to fill out the cast. The memories of the plot that appear in her mind tell her that the junior sister will spend the whole story as a supporting character to the hero and heroine. When the hero falls into danger, she will be bribed by demons and monsters to stab him through the heart with her sword. The heroine will arrive in time to kill her, making her a tool for bringing the couple closer, while also helping the hero break through his cultivation before the final battle. Jiang Cangcang: "..." Honestly, she thinks that if she were the one to stab him, the hero would have no chance of surviving. Then she checks the true energy in her dantian and discovers that she has, at most, reached the second level of Foundation Establishment. Jiang Cangcang: "..." Is this any way to live? - Jiang Cangcang starts leveling up all over again. Everyone sees the once quiet, unremarkable junior sister stand on the arena at the sect's tournament and defeat every challenger in an hour, armed with nothing but a sword. The entire sect falls silent, but one person applauds and cheers. What's more, from that day on, he never misses any of Jiang Cangcang's matches, and even starts showering her with over-the-top praise. By chance, Jiang Cangcang overhears her second senior brother mention the man's name: "His name is Jian Hui. He's the laziest outer sect disciple around. They say he paid his way in, and I've never seen him cultivate. His talent's poor, too. He's got a mixed spiritual root, and the vice sect leader says he'll be stuck in the Qi Refining stage for the rest of his life." Jiang Cangcang stops in her tracks: "..." Wait. Jian Hui? Isn't he the First Immortal Lord who only appears in the final battle and is said to be capable of destroying heaven and earth? - Jian Hui has foreseen the future war between immortals and demons, but he has no interest in saving the immortal realm. He just wants to laze around. So he sneaks into the major sects, hoping to find someone talented enough to take his place and complete the task. One day, he watches Jiang Cangcang's match. His eyes light up. Wonderful! At last, he can slack off! Theme: Only hard work brings rewards.
