[Western Crossover] What If I Heard Robin Calling for Help in Arkham

[The full story and IF storyline are complete. The whole story costs about 4 yuan. Thanks for your support! w] [My completed story featuring Jason Todd and a female Tim Drake lead: "[Western Crossover] Bat Kid, but a Villainess" w] [Arkham Knight timeline] In her third year in Gotham, underground doctor Fancy Lin went to Arkham Asylum to hand in her midterm report to her doctoral advisor, Scarecrow, when she heard the second Robin calling for help as the Joker tortured him. Save or Ignore? The Joker, Black Mask, the Penguin, Bane, Two-Face, the Riddler… With a lineup of accomplices this star-studded, Scarecrow, who had no interest in torturing Robin, warned her not to get involved. “Oh,” Fancy Lin said thoughtfully. “I need more data for the next stage of my thesis… Can I use him to test my drugs?” Scarecrow: ? He wasn’t the Riddler. Why was he asking a question? * Save him or ignore him? Fancy Lin chose a third option. Join in, then keep him all to herself. What matters most to a researcher? Naturally, a successful experimental subject. That was the key to graduating! “Your spine has suffered severe fractures from the third cervical vertebra onward. Even surgery would have trouble restoring it completely.” Watching the second Robin stand up again in Wayne Manor, Fancy Lin’s eyes gleamed with a strange excitement. “But my drug can push the human body to its limits!” Such a rare, unique sample, one she wasn’t even confident she could replicate! “I need more data and more tests, and I’ll have to collect blood samples over a longer period. Would you be willing to let me keep bothering you…?” “Sure.” Jason stared at her and answered without hesitation. “Until death.” Batman, who had finally been waiting for his boy to come home: ? That’s not right! * A little scene from an IF storyline: Fancy Lin hadn’t expected that the moment she left for just two hours, her latest test subject would collapse on the floor and die. The corpse had a bullet through the head. The work was swift and clean. The one responsible was wearing black armor, with two guns strapped to his waist. He sat in her chair with his legs crossed, holding her cup of coffee. There was no sign of guilt on his face, scarred with a “J.” “Look, Doctor.” Arkham Knight raised his cup to her, his voice as cheerful as if he were celebrating. “Now I’m the best again.” Fancy Lin fell silent. More than angry, she found it absurd. If he would do this to every possible candidate who might be a better fit, that meant Arkham Knight wore a ghostly, unsettling grin. “I’m the only one you need.” As long as she had no other choice, there was no need to worry about Lin getting angry, right? * Arkham Knight timeline. Primarily based on the game, with the comics as secondary reference. Jason was tortured by the Joker for a year; Tim has a buzz cut and ends up with Barbara; Jason is younger than Tim; Talia is dead, so there’s no Damian; Batman is exceptionally good at talking people down ([deleted] in exchange for his detective skills [/deleted]). * There may be some hints of BatCat. * The author supports both Batman and the Robins. I hate arguments and scolding in any form. Comments that provoke arguments will be deleted. * This should be a short story. I absolutely will not let it get long! *raises fist* * The heroine is kind of a jerk… relatively decent, anyway (really?). If this somehow turns into a sister-and-puppy dynamic again, that’s Jason’s fault. * That’s right, this time Scarecrow is the one making life difficult for our couple! * There will be a little crossover with the crime and lawyer universe, but you can read this without knowing it. Coming soon: "[DC] Keep the Kryptonians in Line, Save Me from Suicide" After Superman is killed by Doomsday, you begin another attempt, having already failed to kill yourself three times. Superman is dead, and Clark is gone. This time, no one will stop you. Then you see a small version of Superman fly up to you, wearing sunglasses and a leather jacket with the LuthorCorp logo on the shoulder. He even strikes an obnoxious pose. …Seriously, not again? Weren’t you told Superman was the last Kryptonian? You declare that Lex Luthor will never get your vote for president again. Never. * “Is life always this painful, or is it only like this when you’re a kid?” “That’s just how life is,” Clark tells you. “But even if today is cloudy and it rains tomorrow, one day you’ll have clear skies again.” He smiles, as warm as sunshine. “What if tomorrow brings good news?” Theme: Overcoming misfortune takes both other people’s help and the strength to save yourself.
