Primarily a DC and Criminal Minds crossover, with possible elements from Person of Interest, White Collar, Breaking Bad, True Detective, and more. The main setting is Bludhaven, with the Batfamily, the BAU, and Nightwing V2 characters connected to Bludhaven making most of the appearances.
The female lead is a BAU agent on leave who returns to Bludhaven and briefly partners up with Wing. Expect some police stories.
The female lead's type is black-haired men and red-haired or blonde women. Too bad she's stuck in a spectacular heartbreak.
The pairing will probably be with Wing, though it might be no-pairing. Even if it's not romantic, in terms of page time and narrative importance, Wing is definitely the male lead. But those two will 200% date other people, so you're better off reading the backup romance or enjoying the chaotic mix of pairings.
Although I said I wanted to write about police partners, the investigations serve the romance. Some cases are based on real-life cases or other sources of inspiration, which I'll note when I remember.

To Dick Grayson, a rookie cop in Bludhaven, Verena Braven is the worst possible partner.
The second time they met, she was half an hour late. Her burgundy shirt was rumpled, and the smell of alcohol clung to her.
She's late every day but always leaves on time. How she handles calls depends on how much cash and tips she can skim. She doesn't care about the job and leaves all the paperwork for him.
Her enthusiasm for helping the public is less than a thousandth of her enthusiasm for drinking.
She's terrible in the way that… when you need help from the magical side, you want Zatanna, but Constantine shows up instead.
To BAU agent Verena Braven, currently on paid leave, Richard Grayson is the worst possible partner.
If it weren't for the fact that Wayne adopted him… Why would the adopted son of Gotham's richest man want to play cop? And why come to Bludhaven instead of staying in Gotham?
This earnest rookie ruined her vacation back home. He can't read the room, doesn't care about relationships with his colleagues, and spends all day butting heads with his superiors, even sticking his nose into trivial cases to show off.
His stubborn, rock-hard temper is worth less than a thousandth of his pretty face.
He's terrible in the way that… when you say you need a little magical help, you mean Garcia's fairy godmother-level hacking skills, not Reid showing off his encyclopedic knowledge.
But clearly, neither of them has any other choice.
*More content warnings: Some things may defy reality for the sake of the plot, such as a BAU agent on leave being assigned to work at a police station.
*There will be side pairings including Tiffin/Supergirl, Dick/Babs (an on-again, off-again relationship), and Joker/Harley.
*Some characters' ages have been changed, and this doesn't follow Nightwing V2 completely. Since this is a police story, we'll try to keep it grounded rather than going off the rails. No Superman will be the norm, and superpowers are out.
*This is the product of wanting a taste of hotheaded solo-operator Wing. Please stop treating this man like nothing but a gentle mom!
Theme: Saving one life is meaningful enough.
