The Never-Ending Workday [Time Loop]

You're an utterly ordinary internet-industry worker stuck in the 996 grind.

Six days out of every week, you wish Sunday would hurry up and arrive. On the remaining day, you pray Monday morning will take its time.

Then one day, your utterly ordinary life changes.

You discover that your time is forever stuck between Monday and Saturday of the first week of March.

The same six days repeat over and over. Sunday never comes.

To get some rest as soon as possible, you have no choice but to try everything you can to escape this endless LOOP.

...At the very least, get your leave approved first.

*

"What do you think a time loop means? Despair repeating forever, with dawn that never comes?"

"No. It's a glimpse of the future, the chance to make unlimited mistakes, a gift wrapped up as poison."

"In plain language... it's an opportunity, a blessing. Congratulations, your luck is finally turning, Lin Ximeng."

Your childhood friend said this to you bluntly during one of the loops.

[Notes]

1. To help readers immerse themselves in the story, the author has decided to try writing in the second person (demonic whisper).

2. There is a male lead. He's neither a coworker nor a boss, but another 977 worker (laughs).

3. This story is also known as "The Worker Wants a Break, So She Tries to Save Herself" and "The Day Off That Never Comes."

4. Blurb screenshot dated 2022/03/13.

5. The heroine grows over the course of the story. At first, she's just an ordinary person in the literal sense.

6. The first part is goofy and snarky. The power fantasy begins in the second part.

*The author solemnly swears that this story is not made up at all, except for a certain degree of artistic embellishment. Every tear and drop of sweat comes from the real experiences of a hard-working wage slave. If any of it sounds familiar, let's cry together.

Theme: Refuse overtime, starting with me.
