Guardians of Glory

At thirty, an athlete is already called a veteran. At twenty-six, a doctor is merely a resident, a doctor who lives at the hospital!

"Stay away from our training."

"I'm sorry. We're not right for each other."

The road to championship glory and the summit of success is long and arduous. The journey may be lonely and cold, but I will press on without fear and keep reaching for new heights. At thirty, Long Yuhan, a badminton Grand Slam champion, is constantly reminded by injuries and age that he should retire. But the national badminton team needs someone to hold things together, so he grits his teeth and stays on as an active player. Cold and strict in private, confident and composed on the court, he seems devoid of all emotion and has earned the nickname "the badminton robot." That is, until the girl from fifteen years ago appears and warms his heart again. He reaches out to keep her close, yet always ends up pushing her away and hurting her deeply. But it's never too late to make amends. His long journey to win her back begins.

I will give you my true heart in hopes of receiving yours in return.

"Welcome into my heart."

The door to my heart is locked. From this moment on, there is only you.

"The world loves you because you're a champion. Your teammates respect you because you're their captain. Your friends admire you as the Third Young Master. But I love you because you're Long Yuhan."

Jiang Han's idol was Long Yuhan, the world's number one men's singles badminton player. She thought they were childhood sweethearts. She believed their feelings were mutual. She was determined to stand by him through every storm. But he rejected her all the same.

Captain Long, you protect the nation's honor. I'll protect you, staying by your side through every change of fortune, through fair weather and foul, for all the peaceful years to come.
