Phantom Raiders: The American West, 1879

In 1865, the war ended. The South had lost. The North had won. The veterans left the battlefield only to find that the world no longer had a place for them. The federal government told them: Go west! There was plenty of land out west, and plenty of opportunity! But the federal government didn’t tell them that out west there was also a people who refused to leave their homeland: the Indians. The war never ended. It only found a new opponent. The era of cowboys and gunslingers was about to begin. In 1869, the transcontinental Pacific Railroad was completed, and trains arrived in the West. The trains brought more people, more guns, and more bodies. People had badly underestimated this land. To survive here, they would have to face more than guns and bullets. Beneath the sand lurked horrors unknown... 1879 There was a man who came here neither for gold nor for land. He came only to find a ghost. A gunslinger, an old horse, two revolvers, a hat. He had arrived. “I bet my bullets are faster than yours.”
