Immortality Begins with an Obsession with Exorcism

In 1899, Edgar gazes wistfully at the great railway stretching into the distance. The age of gunslingers and outlaws has reached its end.

But he is neither a gunslinger nor an outlaw. He is saddened because, as the world advances and countless railways cross the West, this land has lost its mystery, and all manner of monsters and demons have vanished with it.

As an exorcist, Edgar watches his hometown grow more and more prosperous, while his own skills become useless. He can't help sighing as he looks toward the railway.

He thought he would spend the rest of his life drifting aimlessly, until one afternoon, when he received an extraordinary assignment.
