If you ask what it's like to become Superman, there's only one word for it: Awesome! Really awesome! So awesome that Clark even feels like choosing to become Homelander. (Throws a punch.) Clark thinks he's amazing. He overcame the evil inside him and, despite knowing everything, never turned bad. He helped people, saved Jason, and changed many tragedies. He even wants to date Batman. He thinks he's even more amazing than the original Superman! Until that day arrives… Kal realizes he'll never measure up to Superman. Because he doesn't love this planet nearly as much as Superman does. Kal abandons Earth. But why do you have to dig me out now? You won't let me take revenge, but you won't let me leave, either. I'm just an ordinary person, Bruce. You disgust me. P.S. 1. Short scenes alternate between first and third person. This is my take on Injustice Superman. 2. Superman/Batman or Batman/Superman, no fixed roles, but they never officially get together, and they won't in the main story either. 3. The ending is open-ended, with a possible bad-end warning. No one dies, but they don't end up together. 4. Superman has more original character details and is even more powerful. 5. The premise comes from something I saw before: Superman actually loves Earth more, so when Batman turns evil and tries to destroy Earth, going to other universes to cause trouble, neither Injustice Superman nor Lord Superman chooses to leave. They stay on Earth and cause trouble. What if this Superman doesn't love Earth as much? A recommendation for my upcoming long, plot-focused novel, which will have more consistent updates and a longer run. It has a similarly healing (or angsty) feel, but takes place during the recovery period after everything they've been through, so it's warmer and more healing (?). After being beaten by a crowd, Batman is hoisted high into the air by Bane. "Bang!" A green bird ball with twin blades on its back suddenly charges out and transforms into a man over six feet tall. He slices off both of Bane's arms. The towering tyrant walks up to Batman and looks down at him. "You're shorter than I expected." Batman: ... Just as the Bat-family is in chaos, the black sludge returns, carrying nightmares from the past. The queen, blinded by thorns and bound to her throne, wails in agony, dragging one warrior after another into despair. A beautiful golden angel is pinned to a wall by his wings, blood and tears forever streaming down his face as he tempts pilgrims into becoming his sustenance… It turns out the Bat-family is still the Bat-family. He's not the only one pretending to be deaf and dumb. A black shadow envelops him and turns into a suit. The roar of a motorcycle echoes between the high-rises. This time, he won't run away again.
