[DC/Superbat] Crimson Shadows

Once upon a time, there was a Blue Super. It wasn't that he had a problem. He was the problem. The most unusual thing about him was that he had N Batmen. Jealous? He earned them with his life. He was technically a Blue Super, but not a straightforward one. He had been through just about everything that could make another Superman turn evil: he and Lex had grown up together and become best friends, only for his friend to try to kill him. He finally found his fellow Kryptonians, only for them to try to conquer Earth. Then there were things like losing his powers, Doomsday, the Joker virus, Batman dying, and so on. He weathered all of it and still didn't turn evil or destroy the world. Sounds like a steadfast, good Superman. No, not at all. From the start, he was a brooding philosopher of a Superman who had a dark side. Why did he have so many Batmen? For one thing, even though he had a dark side, he usually seemed kind and sweet, and he had a Batman of his own. For another, he was a composite Superman. He had been Superman from several different versions, including Lord Superman, Injustice Superman, and the Superman of the Batman Who Laughs, during his Blue Superman days. He seemed so hopelessly naive and sweet. When he met superheroes from other worlds, they all thought he'd made it through so many events that could have turned him evil because he was just that naive and sweet. Superman: Smiles without a word. I'm terrible at blurbs. Top-focused. Superman/Batman stays Superman/Batman, no switching. The protagonist is absurdly overpowered, and the cheat abilities are off the charts. A mountain of headcanons. Updates Mondays. Theme: Love never changes.
