The Older Consort

Ji Chun died in a freak accident, and her transmigration was even more unexpected. Other people transmigrated as princesses, empresses, or noble young ladies. She became a maidservant whose job was to attend to someone personally. At least her luck wasn’t all bad. On the eve of a palace coup, Ji Chun twisted her ankle while trying to escape and fell onto the new emperor. By sheer coincidence, she took a blow for him and earned the enormous merit of saving the emperor’s life. When the new emperor ascended the throne, he granted amnesty and handed out titles. He specially asked his personal attendant, “Auntie Ji Chun,” who had served him for ten years, what she wanted. Ji Chun (the bolder you are, the more you gain!): “This servant wants to be made a Noble Consort!” The new emperor, a peerlessly handsome sixteen-year-old, stared at her in astonishment. His expression clearly said, “Have you lost your mind?!” The chief eunuch at the new emperor’s side probably thought Ji Chun had gone mad with the idea of cashing in on her favor. He immediately barked, “Auntie Chun, mind your words!” That’s right. The person Ji Chun had transmigrated into was an auntie who had long since passed the age when she could leave the palace. Ji Chun knew her request was a little too outrageous, too… She had no choice. Ji Chun was lazy, delicate, and had no connections, no network, and no status. There was no way she could survive on her own in this ancient world. Becoming a consort was the best option. This wild idea was written in June 2024, and I have screenshots to prove it.
