What's Wrong with Being a Plant Hunter and Part-Time Magic Physician?

Just after graduating from university, Mei Ling (Llyn Meyer) unexpectedly transmigrates to a world of magic.

The good news: He graduated from a magic academy and earned his certification as a magic apprentice.

The bad news: He studied magical biology, an even more disastrous major than the one he had back home.

After three months of job hunting, he is so broke he can barely afford food, and might just starve to death in this land.

Mei Ling drifts to a remote town and becomes a plant hunter, scraping by as best he can.

As life grows poorer by the day, Mei Ling starts thinking about finding another way to make a living.

Then one day, a flock of white-winged crows drags him along to help a golden lake badger.

It’s right up his alley, the fee is high, and the job is easy.

Mei Ling: ?!! A whole new world just opened up!

From then on, Mei Ling works not only as a plant hunter, but also moonlights as a magical creature rescuer.

His medical skills are superb, his fees are fair, and he wins the approval of magical creatures everywhere.

Until one day, Mei Ling realizes that his magic and medical skills might not have come from his academy’s teachings after all...

Bernhard swears he was only looking after his good friend’s younger brother when they crossed paths, just as his friend had asked him to.

At first, Bernhard is simply surprised by Mei Ling’s medical skills.

Then he’s won over by Mei Ling’s cooking.

And eventually, he falls for Mei Ling himself.

Bernhard had planned to leave once he recovered, then to leave after spending the winter, then to leave once Mei Ling had dealt with the trouble right in front of him. In the end, he never parted from Mei Ling again.

[The title and blurb may get another polish before the novel is published!]

[I’ve been really into writing Western fantasy lately, so I’m jumping the queue with this one. Thanks for waiting, and a deep bow!]
