A New Age, New Magic

Lily transmigrated to a world of magic and became a new student at a magical academy. With incredibly low affinity for all four elements, she was destined to be at the very bottom of the mages’ pecking order. But Lily had something to say: Who says magic has to be so inconvenient? At the magical arena. [Water spirits, heed my call in the form of hydrogen and oxygen!] It was only a tiny splash of water. Nothing to worry about. But the arena was blasted into a deep crater. Dark forces infiltrated the academy. [Air spirits, bear my will in the form of carbon monoxide!] A gentle breeze brushed their faces, but the intruders it touched collapsed in agony. Rumor had it that the true home of black magic was the academy! It was that woman! She could make basic magic have forbidden effects! Lily waved her hands frantically. She wasn’t taking the blame for this. “Black magic? What black magic? This is just ordinary scientific magic.” Sorry, mages, but the times have changed! Coming soon: The Dread Realm Invades, but I’m a Player. Please add it to your favorites The weather’s awful today. It’s raining knives, and the knives are chasing her down to cut her. Shi Wu had to give up going to chat with Grandma Tree. Grandma Tree’s hair always falls out badly in this weather, and she gets upset and doesn’t want to see anyone. What should she do today, then? Shi Wu was lucky enough to find a game console whose leg had been cut off by a knife. As far back as Shi Wu could remember, she had lived in this bizarre world. How did she know the world was bizarre? Because Grandma Tree and the others said the world used to be normal. Back then, they were all human, just like Shi Wu, with noses that were noses and eyes that were eyes. On sunny days, nine suns didn’t hang in the sky, and on snowy days, the snow didn’t leap at you and smother your mouth and nose until you suffocated... Sometimes Shi Wu wondered what a normal world was like. She didn’t know that the game console would take her back to that very normal world! Theme: Bring science into the world of magic.
