The Silly Female Side Character Lets Loose and Becomes a Sensation

Baishu is a goofball: an eagle who gained sentience in the desert. One day, she’s assigned the role of villainess in a wish-fulfillment entertainment-industry novel. Baishu makes a pitiful face and leans weakly against a tree. “Why are you picking on a little eagle like me?” The tree falls over. Baishu: “...” She props it up, buries it more firmly, and does her best to act like nothing happened. The System paints her a rosy picture: “Little goofball, don’t worry. A Host bound to the [Save the Villainess] System will come and rescue you.” On the surface, Baishu: “I’ll take the job, I suppose. It’s exhausting.” In reality: The dead eagle rises again. It’s hunting time! The dazzling human world has caught her eye. Humans are famous for knowing how to have fun and eat well. When she first enters the entertainment industry, the other stars are busy clawing at each other on a trash-talking reality show. Baishu: A foodie’s soul is a foodie’s soul. Foodies need a basin to eat from! She guards her white rice. Talk all you like, fight all you like, but don’t let dust land on my food. On the dating show, everyone else gets tangled up in complicated relationships. Baishu wears a headband with a golden circlet on it and runs back and forth across the camera frame with a balloon. She makes the most of the amusement park, rides every attraction twice, and earns back the cost of her ticket all by herself. The System thinks things are going fine. The side quests don’t matter; she just needs to handle the main quest of being a villainess. The original heroine appears, and the System urges Baishu on. “Here we go! Time to get nasty!” Baishu sizes up the heroine, then excitedly grabs her hand. “Girl, want to team up and make money together?” The original heroine: “???” The System: “?!!” Baishu clings to the promising heroine as if she’s holding onto a mountain of gold. Only a fool would play the villainess. Let someone else take that prop role. Agreeing to the System was just one more layer in the goofball’s elaborate plan. The Host assigned to save the villainess arrives, then points at Baishu, who’s holding a national food brand endorsement, sporting a lifetime tourism ambassador title, and sitting in a CEO’s chair while other entertainers feed her. “Is she the heroine?” The System: “...No, she’s the villainess.” Baishu, who never does things the usual way, becomes a star, makes the A-list, and is constantly trending. Her millions of fans beam with fond amusement: Goofballs are the absolute best! [Original blurb dated 6.2, lightly revised 11.2] You Can’t Beat Me in Beauty [Infinite] by Dage He Bing Kuoluo (search the title to find it) Synopsis: Shi Jian is a famous actress with fair skin, stunning looks, and long legs. She was born to be the protagonist. She has a powerful performer’s personality. Wherever Shi Jian goes, every beauty and handsome man pales beside her, reduced to mere supporting roles. Shi Jian: I’ll live beautifully until I’m old. Then, at a young age, Shi Jian dies and gets dropped into a horror-game livestream app. It’s crawling with monsters, and surviving inside is the only way to get a chance at resurrection. Shi Jian: “...” How terrifying. Why make a delicate flower like her go through this? They might as well just let her die. QWQ Shi Jian lies flat, trembling and waiting to die. But just as a monster is about to finish her off, she suddenly smacks its hand away. Shi Jian snaps, “Stop pawing at me! Move over. My left side looks better on camera than my right!” The monster she just scolded: “???” Shi Jian has only ever been the protagonist, and even here she insists on being the star. While the other players hide in the dark, holding their breath, she heads straight for the ghosts. It’s not that she isn’t scared; the lighting is better over there. A jewel-like face needs light to shine! Shi Jian runs through a battle royale while drawing eyeliner freehand, uses a mini-boss’s chilly wind effect as a fan, and steals a ghost bride’s gorgeous wedding dress to put on herself. When a woman wants something, she has to get it. The ghosts hold an emergency meeting: This is provocation, definitely provocation. The damage isn’t much, but the humiliation is off the charts. After discussing it, they realize some of them have been slapped by Shi Jian, some have been smacked, and some have had their hair pulled. They need legal counsel from the highest executive! The aloof highest executive stays silent: Shi Jian has slept with him. The livestream audience thought Shi Jian was a delicate greenhouse flower who wouldn’t survive one episode. They never imagined she’d be a force of nature. Shi Jian, the delicate greenhouse flower: This is so scary, but she’s the only one who gets to be the protagonist! Theme: Be brave enough to be yourself
