Synopsis

Song Yi had defied the heavens on her path of cultivation, but was overcome by her inner demon. After failing to survive the tribulation, she transmigrated ten million years into the future.

The cultivation civilization was still flourishing, but something about this cultivation world seemed off.

Shrunk down into a little toddler, Song Yi was kidnapped. She thought she was about to be used for materials, with her heart cut out and bones harvested

Instead, she was dragged off to elementary school for cultivators.

What was this compulsory education business?

Back then, countless boys and girls had fought tooth and nail to be chosen by a sect. Now every child had to study it?

Song Yi: Actually, I'm an ancient ancestor...

The teacher didn't even look up. "I've heard that excuse for skipping class enough times. Next."

Sword cultivation was once considered the easiest path to breaking through and ascending. Song Yi was no slouch, either: she had been one of the finest sword cultivators.

However, the teacher looked at Song Yi with concern. "It's hard to find a job in this field."

Song Yi: ?

The school announced a secret-realm field trip.

Song Yi polished her life-bound sword until it gleamed, a murderous glint in her eyes.

She knew how this went: killing people and taking their treasures was standard practice in trials. Still, no one was going to take so much as a hair from her.

Her deskmate glanced at the sword and asked, confused, "Why didn't you bring more snacks for the outing?"

Song Yi: ?

Note: 1. This is my take on modernized cultivation, with a ridiculous number of original ideas. It's goofy and heartwarming.

2. This world differs greatly from my version of the cultivation world, so I don't recommend using this as a textbook on cultivation. Don't blame me if you fail your initiation.

Coming Soon

This is a world where superpowered people and ordinary people coexist.

Humans may awaken all kinds of extraordinary abilities and fend off the threat of monsters. They are hailed as heroes.

Special academies train superpowered people, but their mental health problems are growing increasingly severe.

If they can't be taught to keep their heads on straight, those academies may produce villains instead of heroes.

None of this has anything to do with Lin Si. She's an ordinary person trying her best to get by.

But she gets assigned to a superpower academy and becomes its counselor.

More than a dozen people have already quit before her. Some came in standing up and left lying down.

The principal grasped her hand, tears streaming down his face. "Child, your degree may not be a perfect fit, but my ability tells me you're the best match for this position. Use your warmth and kindness to change them."

Lin Si: Oh.

"Principal, that ordinary-person counselor has been here for three days already!"

"Is she all right? How badly is she hurt? She can't be dead, can she? Those brats are getting worse and worse!"

"She's perfectly fine. It's the students who aren't doing so well."

At first, all the students wondered how many days Lin Si could last. Surely it wouldn't be long before she was sobbing and begging for mercy like the people before her.

Later, they discovered that they were the ones sobbing and begging for mercy. "Ordinary people are terrifying!"

Someone once said that the gap between ordinary people and superpowered people could never be bridged.

A long time ago, Lin Si had told herself to accept reality and live as an ordinary person.

She had tried very hard to do just that.

Until she received an unusual job offer.
