If you're interested, please visit my author page and add it to your favorites~ Blurb: An ultra-civilized alien species raced across the vast, empty universe and finally found on Earth the perfect hosts to bear their flawless offspring: Human men. In exchange, they offered to save Earth after a nuclear catastrophe. “We will rescue, protect, and preserve everything on Earth, including humanity. All we ask is that you provide the perfect gestation vessels.” It was a monumental bargain, so every gestation vessel would receive the most attentive care. Yet even so, due to the gulf between species, every vessel, no matter how strong, suffered irreversible aftereffects after giving birth. Tentacles might emerge from their stomachs; their palms and soles might turn into slimy arthropod limbs; writhing eyeballs might ooze from their lower bodies; and frequent psychological hallucinations might bring on self-destructive urges. At first, no one could treat these childbirth-related aftereffects. So even with the federal government offering the most generous rewards, human men remained terrified. Volunteer applications kept declining, panic spread, and a new crisis seemed ready to erupt at any moment. Until Yuan Lin appeared. Yuan Lin, dual PhDs in genetics and biology, a medical genius, an honorary ambassador to the alien species, the only senior researcher in the world able to effectively cure the cross-species reproductive aftereffects, and the hope of humanity's survival. Her arrival put every man's fears to rest. More than 98 percent of the cured vessels were even willing to return to the gestation islands and keep contributing. “Professor Yuan gave us courage! She gave humanity courage!” A cured vessel stood before the media cameras, flushed and raising both hands as he excitedly declared to the world, “With her around, giving birth is like getting bitten by a mosquito. There's no need to worry about side effects at all!” “This is a glorious undertaking that can make a great contribution to two planets! I hope all men will step forward and shoulder their responsibility to themselves, their families, and all of humanity!” The Federation erupted! Combined with the media's timely announcement of a new rewards policy, volunteer applications for gestation vessels skyrocketed! But late at night, in a sealed laboratory where no one could see her, Yuan Lin lounged on the sofa. Several huge, crimson pincers extended from her waist as she contentedly circled spots on a map of Earth. The cold, artificial light reflected a dark gray in the four pupils in her eyes. She smiled at her alien companions clinging to the ceiling. “Look. These are the new gestation islands, nearly complete. Our children will enjoy the richest, most perfect maternal energy.” “We will never go extinct.” Theme: Break free of life's constraints and carry on with an indomitable spirit through adversity.
