Everyone knew Pei Shi was handsome, had a great body, and got excellent grades. He had topped Jiangbei University's discussion board for years, and his photos nearly covered the campus confession wall. But no one could get within a meter of him. He was so cold he practically gave people frostbite. Around campus, they called him "the aloof flower: anyone who plucks him will become a monk."
But after an accidental encounter, Ruan He glimpsed another side of that flower.
He lived in a graveyard, slept in a coffin, and rose to the top as a livestreamer with his agency's backing, only for the agency to swindle him out of a fortune. His family's debts stacked up as high as the Eiffel Tower.
Yet Pei Shi had borne it all in silence for three whole years.
Ruan He also discovered that Senior Pei wasn't as aloof as he seemed. He remembered Ruan He's preferences, smiled only for him, and showed him favoritism and concern at every turn.
Ruan He stumbled, and his heart fell for him in an instant.
But he didn't know that everything was part of a trap laid long ago.
Pei Shi's cool eyes gleamed darkly as he patiently waited for the little deer in his arms to step into the snare, one step at a time.
*
Pei Shi couldn't remember when his feelings began to change.
He had gone from wanting to drag everyone surnamed Ruan into hell to growing ever more afraid that the person in his arms would learn the whole truth.
One day, as Pei Shi drew Ruan He into his arms again and breathed in the scent of his hair, he asked in a deeply seductive voice, "Xiao He, no matter what I do in the future, will you forgive me for all of it?"

[1v1, HE, evenly matched leads]
Dear readers, here are two of my upcoming novels. If either sounds interesting, please check out my profile. Thank you so much!
"A Year of Blossoming Glory" - Republic-era novel. Blurb:
People said that the Tao family had made clothes for generations and embroidered for a thousand years, and that all the talent passed down through generations of master artisans had landed in Tao Weichu alone.
With his slender, pale hands, he could turn the roughest hemp cloth into something as brilliant as the stars. He had raised himself to legendary status throughout Shanghai, and countless officials and nobles fought tooth and nail to own a garment made by him.
Yet this shopkeeper of the Tao family was eccentric and lazy.
If a customer didn't suit his fancy, he wouldn't make anything.
If the weather was bad, he wouldn't make anything.
If the grapevine in the courtyard lost its leaves, he wouldn't make anything.
In short, he had a thousand and one reasons not to work, and few, fussy reasons to do so.
Many distinguished guests were politely shown out by the servants before they had even crossed the six-foot-wide doorway.
There was only one exception.
That was Liang Sui, the second-in-command of the Anqing Gang, a genuine man of the underworld.
From their first meeting, Liang Sui figured out Tao Weichu's temperament.
When his nature was lazy, Liang brought out soft cushions and waited on him hand and foot. When he was eccentric, Liang showed endless patience and spoiled him rotten. In short, he had to keep both this man's body and heart firmly in his grasp.
"Why are you so annoying?" Tao Weichu glared at him.
Taking advantage of being less delicate than the other man, Liang Sui pushed his luck.
"Go ahead and shout. Every inch of the Tao family lane is full of my men. No one will answer you." As he watched the beauty in his arms, his eyes shimmering like jade and his charm unmatched, Liang Sui's heart melted on the spot.
"Shopkeeper Tao, be mine."
"After Transmigrating into a Book, I Broke the Plot" - Blurb:
An explosion roared. A mushroom cloud surged into the sky. Qin Sang woke in the flames, face-to-face with someone whose face was covered in blood.
Qin Sang tilted his head. "Something's off about you."
The other person smiled. "Something's off about you too."
Indeed, something was off.
According to the plot of the urban supernatural novel Qin Sang had transmigrated into, he was supposed to die as a cannon-fodder supporting character in the explosion he had caused through his own carelessness. The male lead was also supposed to lose his sight in the blast and conveniently gain the book's greatest golden finger: the power to slay gods and kill ghosts.
The System in his head had promised as much. If he followed the plot to the end, he would return to his original world after dying.
But things had gone wrong. The explosion happened, yet the cannon fodder didn't die, and he ran straight into the male lead. Worse, the male lead didn't seem to be blind.
Qin Sang tapped the System. "Hey, what's going on?"
There was only silence in his mind.
The System: deceased.
At a loss, Qin Sang followed the male lead's gaze and turned around. That was when he found the real reason.
Oh. He'd accidentally put thousands of explosive talismans in the wrong place.
The plot had gone off the rails.
And not just a little.
Amid the smoke and dust, Qin Sang heard the male lead whisper in his ear, "The thing in your head that gives you orders is gone, right? So, my friend from another world, would you be willing to take me out of this book with you?"

[1v1, HE, fake cannon fodder vs. a true powerhouse, a ridiculous tale of two people causing a ruckus in a book world]
A recommendation for my lovely friend's novel:
"Could You Lay Off the Archer Plays?" by Xi Huan
Blurb: Looks clever but is actually a bit of a dummy / team shot-caller / money-spending wizard / never understands why the top suddenly gets mad / mood-maker / adorable bottom
Looks harmless but is actually full of schemes / team's top damage dealer / master of dirty talk / when the bottom annoys him, he uses sweetly passive-aggressive talk to rile up the other teammates / instigator of conflict / green-tea top
Theme: Break free from life's constraints and uphold an unyielding spirit in adversity. As long as you keep a kind heart and treat others with honesty, the world will always repay you with smiles and good fortune
... How can we make peace and start over again despite the deep hatred and the destruction of our family? When I read the copy, I thought it was a piece of fiction with a supernatural flavour. It seemed to be a cliché romance in the first place, but in the end, it became v-like and started to fool people... It's absolutely amazing. It doesn't cost much to subscribe, but I still feel like I'm losing money.
? ? ? This ending?
It feels so uncomfortable to watch. I feel mentally uncomfortable. This is such a mess. I was deceived by the copywriter.
I just said, the writing of the next few chapters is so bad, I guess I can't finish it, it's unfinished.
Finished? Finished spreading flowers!
??? Too fast, a little different from what I thought
Ah, why is it over?
Although I'm still angry_, I hope I won't be too cruel in the future∩_∩
By the way, I feel like I'm only one grade behind. It's weird to call me a child directly. It makes me feel superior (not derogatory). I just mentioned my own feelings. It doesn't mean to give guidance (desire to survive).
Good guy, I don't care what you're doing. You can use your skills to insert a bug anywhere. You pretend to like people to cuddle and eavesdrop, but you also consciously bear the humiliation. All I can say is, good guy, I hope you can fall in love with each other as soon as possible (bushi)
