[Infinite Flow] [No Livestreaming] [Power-Up] [Mild Horror]
On the brink of death, Dou Huai unexpectedly became bound to a horror survival game.
[As long as you complete your missions, you will earn more time to stay alive.]
Dou Huai glanced down at his personal status panel. His stamina was a mere 2. “...”
How! Am! I! Sup! posed! To! Survive!
But after he struggled through a certain mission, the System suddenly chimed and informed him: “You have met the requirements for a class change. Would you like to become a [Game Designer]?”
[Game Designer: Inside dungeons, you can influence the monsters' affinity and hostility, increasing your chances of survival.]
Dou Huai was thrilled. “Change! Change! Change!”
And so, from then on, things went like this:
Ordinary players sobbed, “Boohoohoo! I have to find clues, escape the vengeful ghost, and earn more survival time!”
Dou Huai offered a cigarette. “Miss, being trapped alone under the floorboards for over a decade must have been awful. Wait here. I’ll bring you the person who chopped you into pieces.”
[“Ding!” The vengeful spirit’s affinity has increased by 100%. Survival time +100 hours.]
Ordinary players screamed in despair, “Help! That executioner is covered in blood! Run!!”
Dou Huai held up some laundry detergent. “Big guy, your clothes are soaked in blood. Take them off and I’ll wash them for you. What? You want me to wash away your curse? Sure, it might be tricky, but I can give it a try.”
[“Ding!” The blood-soaked executioner’s hostility has decreased by 100%. Survival time +100 hours.]
Ordinary players: “... Why does your game feel so different from ours?”
Dou Huai lifted his head amid a crowd of demons and monsters and smiled brightly. “Maybe... I’m just pretty popular?”
My next novel, I Became a God by Collecting Rent, is on my author page. If you’re interested, feel free to add it to your reading list!
Blurb:
After successfully completing one hundred quick transmigration missions, You Yu finally got to retire. The System asked him what kind of life he wanted.
Remembering all those countless days and nights of scheming, You Yu replied, “I just want to go back to Earth and be an ordinary landlord. I want to laze around every day and still make a fortune.”
The System waved its hand and rewarded him with a pocket dimension.
[The dimension contains countless properties for rent: houses, farmland, oceans, and mineral deposits. Each comes with complete documentation and equipment. The Host can bring them out and place them wherever they like, then collect rent.]
[Thank you for your contributions to the Quick Transmigration Bureau. We will now open a passage to Earth.]
However, a spatial distortion occurred during transit, and the passage that should have opened on Earth instead opened on a netherworld planet occupied by star beasts.
The moment You Yu opened his eyes, he found himself face-to-face with a blood-red eye peering out from the dirt.
*
3S star beasts are intelligent, yet fierce and savage. Driven by instinct, they occupy the sands and caves, often devouring one another to fight over territory.
One day, a young man suddenly appeared. Standing between two star beasts, he earnestly advised them, “Just look at how hard and cold this sandy ground is to live on. I’ve got two giant yurts, each with a 24-hour climate-control system and soft, comfortable wool carpeting throughout.”
“For just two 3S cores a month, you can stop fighting, relax, and reach the pinnacle of beastly life!”
“Well, what do you two think? Interested in renting one to try?”
*
Resources are scarce across the interstellar world, star beasts run rampant, and humanity’s habitable territory keeps shrinking. The Federation’s housing and nutritional supplements are prohibitively expensive, leaving ordinary people to struggle through life exposed to the elements.
Then, one day, an interstellar fleet out on patrol suddenly sent back some footage.
On the once-terrifying, gloomy netherworld planet, countless white dome-shaped buildings had appeared. Star beasts lounged inside them, their very tails radiating an air of ease and comfort.
And that wasn’t all. Along the edge of the white buildings, the fleet also captured vast stretches of lush green pasture. Countless chickens, ducks, cows, and sheep frolicked there, all plump and looking delicious.
The people of the interstellar world were dumbfounded. Where had all these buildings, animals, and plants come from?
At that moment, the camera focused on a young man squatting at the edge of the pasture, muttering as he drew circles in the dirt.
Just as everyone thought he was a lunatic, the ground inside the circle suddenly trembled.
Streams of water surged everywhere, converging in the blink of an eye into a vast, azure sea! Schools of fish leaped from the water!
The young man nodded with satisfaction, then turned to call out to the star beasts. “Want a fresh fishing ground? The rent is only five cores!”
At that sight, the entire interstellar population erupted!
This had to be a miracle bestowed by the gods!
The Federation immediately issued its latest directive: Bring that young man back at any cost! They could afford the rent, too!
No! They could pay even more!!
Theme: Break free from life's constraints and uphold a never-say-die spirit in adversity. As long as you keep a kind heart and treat others with honesty, the world will always repay you with smiles and good fortune.
This book is well written, with novel plot and vivid descriptions. The male protagonist does not seek death, but maintains the gentleness of a human being despite games that can drive people crazy. But I personally feel that it started too high and started too low. I could have written more, but it ended in a hurry. But overall it is still a good work, with a rare flow of plot
It feels a bit like starting high and moving low. I feel like there are still holes that haven't been filled in. There's no way to help the twins find their mother, and there are only a few copies. It feels very empty. It ends suddenly. Wow, don't scold me.
I also want to see the doppelgänger scene
Will Dou Huai's true identity not be discovered? The Hundred Corpse Hotel is released as a real game, and players will also encounter this copy. Once they return to reality and play the Hundred Corpse Game... Can't they directly identify that this thing is related to Dou Huai?
I feel that the ending is too fast, so that the last world feels tasteless and a pity to abandon. It may also be that the author's ending is too abrupt, but the author's writing is quite good, but it's a pity that it ends too quickly.
Nice! It's just too short. The first copy was so amazing to me. The ghost covering his eyes and moaning was really nice! ! I hope my wife will write novels like this again!
Nice! But it ended too quickly. I didn't watch enough before I became a god, and I didn't watch enough after I became a god [Dog Head]. The first twenty or so pictures were really scary QAQs, but then I couldn't watch enough.
Although it looks good, it feels a bit unfinished...
I was so scared at first that I didn't dare to go to the toilet alone! It's a bit faded at the back but it's still pretty! Big cheers for the author^0^~
