Tamis learned something terrible: she and her family weren't related by blood.
If her older brother, the heir to the family, refused to accept her, she would be cast out with nowhere to go.
When they met again, Tami still blurted out the same title. Damian's eyes darkened. "Don't call me your brother."
Tami: ?
Had he kicked her out of the sisterhood already?
Fine. Tami turned and strode off in a huff. But the moment she stepped outside, her eyes closed and opened again, and she had turned into a little calico cat.
Her new life was wonderful and free, but how was a tiny cat supposed to survive on streets full of danger?
Tami decided she needed to find someone who could provide regular meals. The man approaching in the distance made her pause to think...
Wasn't that her brother... er, Damian?
Wait, why had Damian turned around and walked away!
After moving into Wayne Manor, Tami drank water and Damian hit the brakes; Tami went to sleep and Damian flipped the table. She reached two conclusions: Damian didn't like her as a human, and he didn't like her as a cat.
Hmph. She decided she didn't like Damian either!
Once siblings, now sworn enemies.
Then one day, after accidentally eating some strange food, Tami discovered she had turned back into a human.
And Damian was just outside the door, about to come in.
Was her mooching about to be exposed? Please, anything but that!
Unable to get away in time, she sat on the windowsill and said to the man whose expression had changed drastically, "I'll be leaving now. Goodbye, bro... Damian."
Her face and words were just as they had been before.
The man who was always so cold and composed lost his calm, while the figure he had yearned for vanished, as if it had only been his imagination.
Catch her. That was Damian's only thought.
Where was she?
On the other side of the manor, the calico cat pounced on her trusty food bowl.
Bruce watched the little cat eat three big bowls in one sitting, his face full of satisfaction. Ever since Tami came to live with them, someone finally appreciated his cooking. If his son dared bully Tami, Bruce wouldn't stand for it!
Keep them apart! They absolutely had to keep the human and the cat apart!
"Bonus scene"
Some time later, Bruce stood outside his son's room, glaring furiously:
A girl wrapped in nothing but a bedsheet stood beside the bed. His son clutched her hand, refusing to let her leave, and the two stared coldly at each other. The girl said, "Let me go."
Bruce: ...His damned son is pulling this coercive romance nonsense at home? Don't hold me back. I'm cleaning house today. She's just a little cat!
Damian: Watch your wording. She's your daughter-in-law.
Tim: But...
Damian: No buts. You will call her your sister-in-law.
Newly brought home, angelic Dick: But Tami doesn't want this QAQ You shouldn't force her!
Jason roared hoarsely, holding up a crowbar: Down with the tyranny of demons! Tami belongs to the whole family!
The applause was deafening, and voices of agreement rang out without end. Damian held on to his wife, who was trying to sneak away amid the chaos, and sneered at his deluded family: Fine, then all of you can heroically die here today :)
