Tamis: ...Has someone possessed my brother? Meanwhile, the Dark Knight suddenly discovers that his son has been hiding something huge from him. "...?" "I have a daughter?" "Wait, she's my daughter?" Damian denies it flatly. "No, Father. She's my sister. She has nothing to do with you." Listen to the nonsense coming out of his mouth. Here we go again. Dick, who overheard them, shuts his eyes in pain. "For the love of God, Damian, just shut up." Bruce now has three difficult problems to solve, and even buying every parenting book on the market hasn't helped: 1. How to bring back his younger daughter, who tries to run away every day. 2. How to raise his troublesome son, who keeps testing the limits of the law. 3. How to reduce the number of abnormal creatures around his younger daughter. * Damian al Ghul has many clones, but none of them can threaten his place in the family. One corpse after another fell beneath his sword, their eyes staring lifelessly. Those hollow green eyes were Tamis's deepest midnight nightmare. "Everyone you killed was an experiment. So was I." "Will you kill me too, Brother?" "I want to be buried beneath the Shiliu Beach. When spring comes, lots of pretty little flowers will bloom." Tamis faced death calmly, having already chosen where she wanted to be buried. But year after year went by, and not only was she still full of life, her family kept growing. Her broken heart was finally whole, but new problems soon followed. During a night patrol, perched on a stone gargoyle beneath the eaves, the girl asked her father in confusion, "If someone tells another person, 'I want us to be together forever,' what does that mean? Does he want to turn me into a specimen?" Choked coughs filled the communications channel. Batman decisively cut the connection. He rested a hand on his daughter's shoulder, and his kind smile startled the Riddler, who was hiding trophies on a rooftop, into falling off the building. Amid the screams, he gently asked, "There's no standard answer to that. It depends on what you were talking about and the circumstances. So, could you tell your father... Who. Is. That. Person?" ----End of blurb. Please read the following content guide (and heed the warnings)---- * For a happy family ending, start reading at Chapter 163. Separate endings: Tim/Jason; reverse-age-gap IF line, BE; Owlman IF line, HE. * Bat-family fanfic, focused on familial bonds. The characters are heavily out of character, the heroine is my own take, and there are countless original additions based on the comic and animated storylines. * The main plot is loose and slow-paced (really slow), with a focus on daily life. Theme: Love is magic that crosses time and distance, and lets family members say "I love you" without fear.
