A Fu is a demon who feeds on human souls. She loves beautiful people and human heads, and has had several husbands.

A Fu's first husband was a hunter. He died beneath a tree in spring. Her second husband was a bandit. He died beneath a restless horse. Her third husband was a wealthy merchant. He died outside a dilapidated temple.

But A Fu's fourth husband was a meat-eating monk who drank wine.
