A Deep Dive into That Death God with Countless Exes

Across an immeasurably long life, the God of Death encounters all kinds of things.

Murder, love, salvation, despair...

And all kinds of humans.

1. [The Devoted Follower]

Ever since birth, he has been able to see death, and people call him an ill omen.

But he has never cared. From beginning to end, he has followed the figure no one else can see.

"Lord Grim Reaper! Are you the Grim Reaper? I'm Xiao! My name is Xiao!"

"Please remember my name, Lord Grim Reaper!"

With an exceptionally fervent excitement in his eyes, he gazes at the Grim Reaper in the night, utterly entranced.

"Lord Grim Reaper, look at me!"

Hearing someone call out, the Grim Reaper turns around, their gaze drifting lightly across the human.

[...A human?]

Their eyes remain utterly calm as they turn and walk toward their next target.

That is, until someone grabs the hem of their robe.

The human's gaze is fervent. The right hand clutching the Grim Reaper's robe is burned to bone by black flames.

"G-Grim Reaper!"

2. [The Timid, Pitiful Dog]

He, too, is a human who can see death, but he is terribly timid.

Abandoned, beaten, murdered... In the end, he meets the Grim Reaper.

For the first time in a long while, the Grim Reaper feels pity.

He's just a weak human. Keeping him for a mere hundred years shouldn't be a problem.

"Filian, be quiet."

"Y-yes! Lord Grim Reaper!"

3. [The Frail Human]

He is too gentle, and too fragile.

Humans like him always inspire worry, even in the Grim Reaper.

"Mr. Grim Reaper?"

"Could you stay with me?"

4. [Overwhelming Jealousy]

What is it like to be the one and only person the Grim Reaper considers special?

The writer doesn't know.

He sees a painting left behind by a famous artist from a hundred years ago. A black-clad Grim Reaper carries a scythe, their eyes gazing into the distance with a faint smile.

Suddenly, he understands.

It is jealousy.

"Mr. Grim Reaper, please look at me..."

"Look closely and tell me who I really am!"

*

The Grim Reaper's life is endless, and they have met countless humans.

Yet even after another hundred years, they still do not understand them.
