Born to Be Anything but Well-Behaved

As one of the few honest hypnotists, Tianyu Jing fights evil and enjoys widespread support from both the red and black sides. Don't misunderstand: on the black side, people are asking things like, "Why hasn't he died yet?" So, one careless mistake later, the man hated by the entire black side was "forced" to die an untimely death. Perhaps because his death was so gruesome, Tianyu Jing got to meet the Reaper in a crack in time and space. When he learned he had a chance to come back to life and return, he went straight back to Tokyo without hesitation. The first time around, Tianyu Jing relied on his skill and boldness to fish in troubled waters during an internal power struggle among the higher-ups of a certain organization. A certain workaholic, who would rather kill the wrong person than let one get away, made sure he died alongside both warring factions. The second time around, before being reborn, Tianyu Jing traded "worldly possessions" for some information and memories from his previous life. He approached Rei Furuya, one of the talented people who would devote his life to taking down a certain black-clad organization. What Tianyu Jing hadn't expected was that his fellow police academy graduates came as a buy-one-get-four-free deal, and all of them died within ten years. Back in that crack in time and space, Tianyu Jing didn't rush to use his final chance. He looked at the Reaper without joy or sorrow. "Of course I'm going back." "I'll trade peace and safety for my memories." He sent his future into the unknown. The desperate gamble of a dead man might be enough to bring some stability to his fellow graduates' uncertain fates. But aside from the deaths destined for his fellow graduates, certain butterfly effects escalated the crisis in Tokyo. The eight-bomb crew took turns jumping into action, and more and more people faced the threat of death. His fellow graduates couldn't stay out of trouble, either. Tianyu Jing, who helped defuse a bomb yesterday and anonymously reported someone who'd been scheming in the shadows today, so they could enjoy a pork cutlet meal in jail (wearily lighting a cigarette): Tsk. Can't you act your age and behave yourselves? Keep those lives safe! I worked so hard to save them! Watching Tianyu Jing survive a fire, reunite with people high in the sky, and grow more injured with each passing year, certain gorilla-like men (wearily lighting a cigarette): Can't this guy behave himself and take care of his own health? You're so determined despite all those injuries. Are you planning to save the world? * A late-night idea born of lingering frustration. * A serious rescue story (probably), with battle-injury scenes. * Pairing: Hiromitsu. Everyone else follows their canon pairings. * I had an unfinished short story of the same name on Lofter (I couldn't stand looking at it anymore, so it's gone now), so some people might recognize the names, codenames, and a few plot points. * The protagonist has a hypnosis golden finger. It will weaken after Hagiwara is saved. * There is an injury debuff. It will disappear once everything is over, and the injuries will heal (some of them, anyway). * Assume the writing is average. I'll try to make the plot logical and keep the characters in character (notice I said try. I really can't promise anything. Once I start writing, the pen just takes off on its own). * If the hypnosis parts don't make sense, just treat them as personal additions.
