What they shared wasn't love at first sight, passionate and dramatic, but love at second sight, long and unassuming.
So one rainy day, He Qingxiang and Zhu Ting were curled up in a bookstore. He was at his computer editing his photos, while Zhu Ting read in a rocking chair and occasionally poured them each a cup of tea.
He'd known for a long time.
He wanted every afternoon for the rest of his life to be like this one: the two of them, with a cup of tea or a jar of wine.
Dressed and rocking in a chair, listening to the rain and drifting to sleep; a clear chime and the clouds listening together.
The author is terrible at writing blurbs, so please don't let this put you off...
Since you're already here, why not read at least a couple of chapters...
HE. Bookstore owner Zhu Ting x freelance photographer He Qingxiang.
A short story of about a dozen chapters, more or less, about love in the real world.
The author is a chronic procrastinator, but won't abandon the story.
Daily updates when there's a backlog, every other day when there isn't. No Sunday updates, since that's when I organize the outline and continuity.
Because someone always steals the author's pen, sending the plot flying off the outline (trying to sound indignant).
Theme: Everyone deserves a love that grows slowly and lasts.
