Spreading Rumors in a Wolf Pack

[, The audio drama is now available on Maoer,]

Qi Chu opened his eyes to find himself facing two major problems

First, he'd become a husky.

Second, that husky was stranded in a wolf pack.

When he realized what was going on, his fur practically stood on end, and his tail split right down the middle.

The wolf pack had just lost its alpha and was still on edge when they spotted this suspicious newcomer. Countless Siberian wolves turned to stare at Qi Chu, until he had no choice but to start making things up to save his skin.

Huo Bei, the leader of the wolf pack, had been separated from the others during a battle. After searching desperately for a week, he finally found the pack, only to see

“Let me tell you, when your leader was courting me, it followed me around every day. Even when it was injured, it still caught prey for me. That was true love, so moving it could bring you to tears.”

An unusually handsome “wolf” was sprawled on a rock, looking smug. “But I turned it down. Of course, in the end, it won me over, and we got together.”

Huo Bei stood expressionlessly among the wolves, listening to this lying “wolf” spin an even more outrageous tale.

The other wolves spotted him and were about to speak, but Huo Bei stopped them.

Huo Bei asked, “Your leader courted you? Then why did you turn it down?”

Qi Chu chuckled. “I was testing it.”

Huo Bei fell silent. Only then did Qi Chu notice that he'd never seen this wolf before. Before he could react, the Siberian wolf in front of him sneered, “Wonderful. If you weren't making up stories about me, I might almost believe you.”

Qi Chu: ???

Qi Chu: !!! Holy crap!

Reader's Guide: 1. Neither the love interest nor the protagonist turns human. They're animals the whole time.

2. This story focuses on a wolf pack and features two animal characters, so there's a lot of wildness. If that's not your thing, please skip it, and don't message me about dropping it.

3. The protagonist is a husky, so his behavior is based on the breed. He'll run off, act hyper, be neurotic, rebellious, reckless, back down when things get rough, have no logic, shed fur, and be a little cunning, but not very much. If that's not your thing, please skip it, and don't message me about dropping it.

4. The blurb is an excerpt from the story and appears around chapter twenty.

5. The story goes premium on Wednesday, with 6,000 characters updated daily at midnight.

6. The idea was inspired by a picture of a husky with a wolf and a story about a husky becoming the alpha at a zoo. Please don't mention other authors or their stories in my comments. Respect every book.

Blurb: Jiata is a German Shepherd who has no interest in romance and only wants a steady job.

As a police dog, its daily routine consists of working, eating, training, eating, playing, and sleeping... It has been raised in the spirit of justice since puppyhood, and its greatest dream is to serve as a police dog until retirement.

As the police dog of the year, it is the “dog everyone else's parents wish they had.”

While Jiata works hard, pushing itself to become a workaholic German Shepherd, its handler frets over its love life. They've taken it to meet potential mates, but Jiata couldn't care less. On the way to a blind date, it caught a thief; on the way back, it spotted a dangerous criminal at the subway station.

“My whole life is dedicated to my career. I don't care about love...” Jiata's words trailed off as its gaze fell on a Samoyed walking past. It pondered for a moment, then turned to its handler and said seriously, “You were right. A dog's life isn't complete without love.”

When Jiata saw that pure white Samoyed, it felt it finally understood love at first sight.

Baisong never imagined it would be pursued by a male German Shepherd. Unable to take it any longer, it snarled through gritted teeth, “Take a good look! I'm male! Male! Samoyeds can be male, too!”

Jiata sniffed it, and its whole world fell apart.
