The Distillery Boss Wants to Retire Today, Too

[First-time readers, please check the reading guide below the blurb!] * Edagawa Sorio dreams of being a carefree layabout who gets paid without having to work. A moderately well-known actor, he happily announced his retirement when turmoil broke out within the organization, ready to inherit a huge fortune, run the organization into the ground, skip fifty years of hard work, and head into retirement without a care in the world. On his first day as BOSS, Edagawa Sorio donated his cheap dad's body. On his second day as BOSS, Edagawa Sorio called a meeting of the organization's top brass. On his third day as BOSS, Edagawa Sorio announced his plans for the future to everyone. “Just as that person has a goal of his own, I've always had a dream in my heart, too.” “I want to become the world's number one idol. If I can't make it happen, you'll all be buried with my dream!” The distillery's members: ... The distillery's members: ??? “Sure, I can't sing or dance, but I have a dream! I'm sure you won't let me down, right?” His pale gold eyes swept coolly over the faces of everyone present, his voice clear and cool with the freshness of youth. Facing subordinates who dared not show their anger, Edagawa Sorio was thoroughly satisfied. Life felt full of hope again. It wouldn't be long now. According to his plan, he would soon run the organization into bankruptcy and live happily ever after in retirement! · Not long after announcing his retirement, Edagawa Sorio, formerly a big-screen actor, made his debut again as an idol. He shot to fame as a phenomenal national idol, with work pouring in, as if he had been born to stand on that stage. But somewhere no one else could see, Edagawa Sorio, a natural-born idol, was sobbing uncontrollably in his manager's arms. “I was wrong. I was wrong from the very beginning. I chose a path that was bound to fail so I could retire sooner and bring down the distillery. Why do I have two jobs now?” His manager, long used to this, patted his back perfunctorily in consolation and said gently, “BOSS, this engagement should wrap up around two. We should take care of the paperwork that's been piling up for two weeks.” “Are you an undercover agent, Scotland? I know you are. You're with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. I'm the head of the evil organization you've been tracking all this time. Hurry up and arrest me, officer. I really don't want to work anymore, ” “Sure, sure. Once work's over, we'll go to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.” “Damn it, you said the same thing yesterday!” [Reading Guide] ① A goofy, sweet story to lift your spirits, written for pure fun and with plenty of OOC. Don't expect airtight logic. Only one dad gets hurt in the whole story (meaning he dies); if emotional harm counts, the protagonist is a two-dimensional character, and he hurts Gin in Chapter Two. ② Detective Conan only, a big happy ending, and the distillery goes legit. It won't be too long. ③ Pairing: Hiromitsu. The romance is mainly in the extras because the characters are underage in the main story. It's very sweet, and there was never any other love interest to root for. The BOSS has treated him specially from the beginning. He's absolutely smitten. ④ Idol setting, no real-life inspiration. Please don't use real people as substitutes. ⑤ The full story costs only 4.17 to subscribe to. It's a short, sweet treat you can finish in no time! Still, I recommend subscribing chapter by chapter, so you can stop in time if it's not for you! ⑥ That's all! Thanks for all the favorites and comments. Kisses!
