One Hundred Ways to Save My Childhood Friend in the Science World

· "I want you to go undercover in the Organization." Standing in front of the administrator's desk, Kamishiro Ichi couldn't help rolling his eyes. He pulled the P230JP police pistol the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department had issued him from his waistband. He didn't particularly like using it, but now he pointed it at his superior's head. "Boss, do you think it's easy to pass the civil service exam? You told me to study hard and become a cop, and now you want me to go back to the Organization as a mole?" "You look like a mole to me." - A bona fide second-generation black member of the Organization, Kamishiro Ichi had worked hard to overcome his PTSD about the police after graduating from university. He'd finally passed the police civil service exam and become a career-track officer, only for the Organization's high-ranking mole in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to send him right back to the Organization. [Here's the situation. I recently got word that the cops have sent a mole into the Organization, but the operation is highly classified and I haven't figured out who it is yet. We need someone to go undercover as a mole and counter-infiltrate. Act as suspiciously as possible so the real moles will approach you themselves.] [Then you'll be able to return to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and resume your post as Inspector Kamishiro, Sazerac.] Kamishiro Ichi was already terrified of the police. Outwardly, he resisted the assignment, but inwardly, he was jumping for joy. He accepted the mission, returned to the Organization, and started spending every day lying flat and slacking off. If anyone asked, he was acting suspiciously and waiting for the moles to come to him. Until one day, he was told to go on a mission with Scotland and Bourbon, two newly codenamed members of the Organization. Seeing the two police academy classmates and childhood friends standing before him, Kamishiro Ichi fell silent. To keep the undercover-within-an-undercover mission from ending right away and avoid going back to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, which was full of cops, Kamishiro Ichi decided to pretend he didn't know the two of them at all. Kamishiro Ichi was forced to end his life of lying flat, forced to get moving and cover up for his classmates, who kept slipping up, forced to follow those two overachievers around day and night... Kamishiro Ichi couldn't take it anymore. He stopped the two of them and demanded angrily: "Give me a straight answer. Do you two even want to be undercover? Can you do your jobs properly or not?!" (Then he was pinned against the wall and kissed (?)) ◆Reader's Guide◆ ① The protagonist is a laid-back Sake. Everyone survives and gets a happy ending. It's a pure fluff story with basically no angst. ② The previous work is One Hundred Ways to Save the Organization in the Detective Conan World. This story stands alone, so you don't need to have read the previous one. The CP is different, so think of it as a parallel world. His personality is a little more hot-tempered. ③ The CP is his childhood friends. ④ Blurb written on 2024.2.22. If you like it, please add it to your favorites!
