Fu Shuilian sees a shooting star. While everyone cheers, he thinks indifferently, How boring. So what if the world ends?
Then an idiot teleports him into a book, where he becomes a gloomy, disillusioned writer.
The System sheepishly tells him it bound itself to the wrong person.

As a frail novelist, Fu Shuilian has a hard enough time surviving in Yokohama. When he wonders if this is really a dating game, the System cheerfully unlocks his supernatural ability.

Fu Shuilian works things out and becomes a spy planted in the Mafia by the Special Division for Unusual Powers. Then the Mafia sends him to monitor the Armed Detective Agency.
At night, he reports to an organization called the Rats in the House of the Dead while writing his new novel.
Fu Shuilian's anger boils over. He takes the troublesome Dazai Osamu and the bastard Demon as inspiration and writes a heartwarming, healing story.
Once he gets going, he also puts his well-meaning boss Nakahara Chuuya and his dark-circled superior Ango through the wringer, writing an intense and twisted story.
Without exception, his published books are condemned as dark, deranged, and antisocial. He snaps his pen, his supernatural ability runs wild, and everyone in Yokohama is dragged into his book for a live-action roleplay.
Fu Shuilian: “...”

So everyone in Yokohama learns that the city's three major organizations have teamed up to hunt down an author whose pen name is “Believe in Love? Better Believe I'm God.” In short, Love God.
Before Fu Shuilian's legendary identity as a spy is exposed, he sees the Demon in his dorm room, reading his new novel: He gets hit by a car and loses his memory, a stand-in rips out his heart for love, he runs and the other chases, then an explosion sends them flying out of the galaxy.
The Demon is the inspiration for the character.
The Demon: “Good evening. I've been waiting for you for quite some time.”
Fu Shuilian: “...Do you believe that true love conquers all?”
#A story about putting the male lead through the wringer. His power has no ceiling, and no floor either
#Believe in love? Better believe I'm God. Wait, did he really become a god?
