[Modern Pre-Release: The blurb for "My Days Running a System for a CEO" is at the very bottom~]

[After wiping out his enemies and preparing to leave, he discovers a child hidden in a water vat…]
Qing Jue thought this was just an internet joke and laughed it off. Never in a million years did he expect to transmigrate into the role of a Venerable Immortal who had finished his revenge, a job even more dangerous than being a preschool teacher, which was his original profession.
And then he locked eyes with the child in the water vat.
Here, there is a future Demon Lord reborn, a haughty heiress with powerful connections, a sinister and cunning classic turncoat, an aloof hermit expert...
He ends up picking up half of the cultivation world's future pillars.
The only difference is that, like the child, every one of them is still preschool age.
A wily fox who occasionally shines with the light of righteousness, the shou x a clearheaded, devoted dog who is occasionally scheming, the gong
Reader's Guide:
A preschool teacher Venerable Immortal raising children. A strong gong and shou raising each other as they grow up, and they're almost never apart. Their romance will not get angsty at all.
The character types are classic. There is comedy, character growth, memes and terrible jokes, angst, and plenty of attention for the supporting cast. No matter what happens, the main couple will never split up or switch roles. Feel free to ship the others as you like, politely. The shou is the core of the whole story, but the gong and other characters aren't just background props.
A feel-good story with a serious plot. I personally don't think it's angsty at all, not to the point of life-and-death separation. I can say that the ending is a traditional happy ending where everyone gets together. If you absolutely can't accept any angst and only want pure silly everyday life, this isn't the book for you.
A heads-up for sensitive readers: I adjusted the warnings before it went on the ranking list, and want to emphasize again: this is not a carefree story all the time, it isn't!! I've put up every possible disclaimer, so don't get to the later chapters and curse the author for pulling out a knife, okay!
I can't think of anything else to warn you about. I really don't want to spoil anything. If I could, I wouldn't even mention that there's angst (sigh). The plot is still pretty important in this one, so if you come across something you can't accept, please just politely leave.
Disclaimer: No characters are based on real people. Any coincidental similarities in names or tropes are purely accidental. Use a comparison chart if you suspect plagiarism. Please don't derail the discussion or give unsolicited writing advice. If you drop the book, please don't come back just to announce it. Extreme gong or shou stans are politely declined. Beginner writing style ahead. Please read civilly and help create a positive writing and reading environment.
Pre-release:
[Upstanding young CEO gong x calm, slightly unhinged System shou]
After Mo Shiyu died, he discovered he had been reborn as the unlucky System in a melodramatic BL substitute-lover novel.
He was trapped in a small, enclosed space inside the CEO male lead's mind and had to help him move the plot forward.
[Hello, Host. I am your plot-progression System...]
Shang Zhe: Hello, Comrade System.
The story began with the departure of the white moonlight, while the protagonist shou was slandered by a wicked supporting character as the substitute.
Mo Shiyu read from the script: Your white moonlight is gone, so hurry up and turn evil. Torture the substitute you brought in, and get all lovey-dovey with him...
Shang Zhe scratched his head, looking exceedingly innocent: Th-that doesn't seem right. You should only do that kind of thing with someone you love.
Shang Zhe became sworn brothers with the protagonist shou, who had sold himself to him, then enthusiastically introduced him to jobs and encouraged him to pay off his debt with his own two hands.
Mo Shiyu: ?
The plot progressed. A rival company resorted to underhanded tactics to compete with Shang Zhe for an overseas project.
Mo Shiyu: Wave your hand and bankrupt that company next door.
Shang Zhe looked surprised: Huh? Me?
Shang Zhe established friendly relations with the rival company, and the two sides shook hands and made peace. They even ended up trending online.
Mo Shiyu: ??
The plot took a turn. The white moonlight returned home, and the protagonist shou staged a dramatic escape, saying tearfully, "Since I'm just a substitute, I'll never come back again."
Mo Shiyu: Act out the classic chase scene where he runs, you pursue, and he can't escape even if he grows wings. Catch him and lock him up.
Shang Zhe looked terribly troubled: But... but that's illegal.
Shang Zhe let the protagonist shou go off and make a life for himself. The protagonist shou became an executive at a multinational company and returned later, deeply grateful to Shang Zhe.
Protagonist shou: You gave me my big break!
Even when Mo Shiyu finally took matters into his own hands and was about to get down to business with this man...
Shang Zhe stood up and said, "No, we can't. It's unhygienic without a condom. I'll go buy some right now."
Mo Shiyu: The universe. Head. Question marks.
Reader's Guide:
The protagonist is caught up in an utterly classic melodramatic novel plot. The character types include, but aren't limited to: the "domineering" CEO, the substitute, the white moonlight, the lovesick second male lead, the all-purpose butler, the doctor friend, the obsessive villain...
A silly comedy. The shou has white hair and purple eyes, using a pretty face to do deranged things. He serves as the straight man and gets laughed into a rage.
The gong is the light of righteousness, with impeccable gentlemanly conduct. He unconsciously plays the pig to eat the tiger, and is as pure as snow. The only tricks and dirty tactics he uses are reserved for the shou.
Theme: Your fate is in your own hands, not Heaven's.
Woo woo woo, everyone is their own god 😭 😭 😭
